No restaurant, hot tub wasn’t working, Bed was uncomfortable. Told they were just starting a major renovation to restaurant and pool. Room was in desperate need of an upgrade grade. Not even worth the $80 night.

The property is currently under a complete renovation by new owners. The only service available is an original room in upgraded condition. Pool closed, hot tub closed, restaurant closed and pub closed. Lobby is also in disarray due to renovations. Staff very apologetic and understanding of wanting to cancel and willing to refund prepaid Expedia room fees however unable to do so. Unable to reach Expedia. We are completely disappointed as we brought our 12 year old Grandson especially to enjoy the pool as well we were looking forward to not having to leave the premises for restaurants and pub. I particularly was looking forward to relaxing in hot tub and a swim with my grandson. We travelled from Canada and my grandson missed two days of school so we cancelled. I tried through Expedia to get a refund but was unable to reach them. As well we went to a different property so paid again for a room with a pool. I have put in a dispute to my credit card for being mislead by Expedia website that did not warn of there current Status of The Grand Hotel. So far we’re dissatisfied and have not received a credit. :( Very displeased to say the least.

Grand Hotel was so wonderful! Super close to the airport and the front desk was very helpful. They let us check out a bit later than normal, which we really appreciated.

We had a room with a locked connecting door to a neighboring room and we could hear them talking continually between 7:30-9:00am as clearly as if we were standing in their room. Arrived at midnight and left by 9am, so this review is for a brief visit.

The property was under construction, there was no continental breakfast, as advertised, the pool wasn’t heated, it was very dark and dreary, no place to eat, not at all what the pictures show

The room we were in the cable didn't work so no TV. Maintenance guy came looked at it plugged cable into different port and proceeded to let me know that its the cable companys fault it was cut off. The phone didnt work in the room either. And we didnt get offered to move to a room with everything working. VERY POOR SERVICE. The only good thing is the pool and it's pet friendly. Also there was a fight and cops in parking lot due to a 16yr olds bday party in the ball room. I wouldn't say it's the "Grand" Hotel. Just above "A" Motel at best. Poor service to NOT have an option of a room WITH a working TV. Thumbs all the way down!

The hotel rooms were dirty so they had to switch me three times. Non of the rooms they had me in had cable or internet. Staff was rude aswell. Will never use Expedia ever again.

We got lost trying to find our room. And the pool was freezing cold. Also wish they served breakfast, and the TVs are a little small in the rooms. Staff was super friendly and helpful though, annd the rooms were fairly clean. Overall it was okay for the nights stay.

I came here as a spring break little getaway with some friends and we really came to swim. This whole thing was ruined by the fact that they didn’t tell us the pool heater was out. We swam in it one day, freezing, and then the next day, there were some people working in the pool all day. It was loud and went on all day long. The heater was still not fixed. They worked from morning to about 8:30 pm and the pool was still freezing. Plus the restaurant was closed. Wasn’t super impressed. Wish they would’ve given us a heads up about the closed amenities.

None of the amenities I booked this hotel for are open or working! No bar, no restaurant, pool was disgusting, room was gross, walls falling apart in the bathroom. Will never stay here again.

Restaurant is closed, room coffee is poor but just tolerable. No place near to get a good cup of it. Otherwise it was quiet and served our needs and had a shuttle to the nearby airport. Would stay again but please upgrade the coffee! (Coffee in the lobby was even worse than in the room!).

They don't make 'em like this anymore!
In an era of new but small efficiency hotels (H.I. Express, Days, etc.) The Grand is a throwback to an era of spacious and inviting quality. From the large sq ft room, to the king beds, the full service bar and restaurant, huge pool area with spa and 9' deep end, to the two-room fitness center with real weights and not just the usual treadmill. Sure, it could use some updates (for instance carpet in some areas), but my room's bath was recently updated with new tile and flooring, and my wife appreciated the flow of the showerhead. A perfect location near the airport and the University meant we were seconds from the host soccer tournament. The central location in this small town meant nothing was far. All in all, a really good value. Next time we're traveling to Minot we'll look to book here first.

The young lady who checked us in was not very friendly or helpful. She didn’t greet us and gave us no information about how to get to our room, parking, etc. It seemed like we inconvenienced her from getting off her cell phone to help us. Although, everyone else was very pleasant and helpful during our stay.
