Welcome to Cape Cod Retreat, our inviting 1937 home in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Set on a spacious double lot, this Cape Cod-style getaway brings together original character, updated comforts, and plenty of room to enjoy time together.

With four bedrooms, a dedicated office, two welcoming living areas, and an expansive outdoor deck, the home offers space for both gathering and quiet moments. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a college event, exploring Minneapolis and St. Paul, or simply looking for a comfortable getaway, we invite you to settle in and make yourself at home.

A HOME WITH CHARACTER

Hardwood floors, charming built-ins, and distinctive details give Cape Cod Retreat its warm, lived-in personality. This is a home with history, where each room has its own character and the spaces invite you to slow down.

Spend the morning over coffee, gather for a meal, or find a quiet corner with a book. With living spaces across three levels, your group has room to spread out without losing the feeling of staying together.

TWO LIVING AREAS & TWO WOOD-BURNING FIREPLACES

The main living area offers a welcoming place to reconnect after a day out. Its wood-burning fireplace features a newer Quattro insert, adding warmth and atmosphere to cool Minnesota evenings.

The lower-level living room provides another comfortable gathering space, complete with a second wood-burning fireplace and a double pull-out sofa. It’s a lovely spot to unwind while others enjoy the upstairs living area.

We include one complimentary bundle of firewood and a starter kit with your stay. Please follow the provided fireplace instructions before use.

FOUR BEDROOMS, EACH WITH ITS OWN PERSONALITY

The king suite offers a comfortable king bed, quality bedding, and a television—a relaxing place to end a busy day.

At the top of the stairs to the right, another bedroom includes a small private half bathroom with a toilet and sink. This attached bathroom does not have a shower.

At the opposite end of the upstairs hallway, the hotel-inspired bedroom features a television, a small walk-in closet, and a mini-split for added comfort.

The fourth bedroom is a smaller, charming room with a double bed and details that reflect the home’s 1937 character.

For an additional sleeping option, the lower-level living room has a double pull-out sofa. Extra pillows and blankets are provided to help everyone get comfortable.

AN UPDATED KITCHEN FOR MEALS AT HOME

The kitchen combines the home’s traditional charm with updated finishes, including granite countertops, soft-close drawers, and premium appliances.

Enjoy the flexibility of preparing meals during your stay, whether that means a leisurely breakfast, lunch between outings, or dinner together after exploring the Twin Cities. Having a kitchen at home makes it easy to settle into your own rhythm.

UPDATED BATHROOMS & THOUGHTFUL EXTRAS

Updated bathrooms complement the home’s classic style. We provide towels, toilet paper, and salon-quality shampoo and conditioner, along with extra pillows and blankets.

Hangers and luggage racks help make unpacking easier, whether you’re here for a quick visit or a longer stay.

A DEDICATED OFFICE

The separate office offers a place to catch up on work, read, plan the next day’s outing, or enjoy a little quiet time away from the main living spaces.

It’s another way the home gives guests room to enjoy different activities while staying under one roof.

OUTDOOR SPACE TO ENJOY

Step outside onto the expansive deck and enjoy the outdoor seating area. The double lot adds a spacious feel to the setting and gives the home an outdoor retreat of its own.

During warmer months, enjoy morning coffee outdoors, take a break between adventures, or spend an easy evening together on the deck. As with any Minnesota stay, outdoor use depends on the weather and season.

A FALCON HEIGHTS HOME BASE

Located in Falcon Heights, Cape Cod Retreat offers a convenient home base for exploring both Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Plan your stay around family visits, college activities, sporting events, concerts, museums, shopping, or discovering the Twin Cities’ neighborhoods. The Minnesota State Fairgrounds and the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul campus are in the Falcon Heights area, while the wider metro offers plenty to explore throughout the year.

Enjoy a full day out, then return to a home with space to relax, prepare a meal, and spend time together. Travel times vary with your destination, traffic, and weather.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have access to the home’s living areas, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, office, lower-level living room, deck, and outdoor seating area.

The garage and a locked upstairs room reserved for cleaning supplies are excluded from guest access.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

Cape Cod Retreat is a multilevel home with stairs connecting its three levels. Guests should consider that layout when planning their stay, particularly if anyone in the group has difficulty using stairs.

The upstairs bedroom’s attached half bathroom contains a toilet and sink only.

The double pull-out sofa is located in the lower-level living room and is an additional sleeping option rather than a separate bedroom.

Fireplace use is subject to the instructions provided at the property, and outdoor spaces are dependent on seasonal conditions.
