Beautiful lake house, excellent location

I stayed here with girlfriends from NYC and california. Everyone had a fantastic time, the proximity to Wayzata and Minneapolis was perfect. Highly recommend, the house was well stocked and had beautiful views!

Beautiful lake view

Our family loved staying at the lake house and enjoying the view from the living room and deck. The gone was well outfitted and had everything we needed. Only wish we could have swum from the dock.

Family Celebration

We celebrated our dad's 90th bday and this was the perfect location to do that. Loved the outside area, was able to have a few fires in the firepit and the kids loved taking the canoe out to do some fishing. Everyone agreed that we should do it again next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful lake house. It’s a perfect blend of what a casual lake house ought to be — with high quality amenities. Unlike many more sterile VRBO places that we have stayed in over the years, this home is saturated in love, warmth, and hospitality. You can tell that the owners love this place. It’s very family friendly while still offering high quality living space. If you love to cook their kitchen is a dream! They have every conceivable utensil you could possibly want plus all kinds of wonderful and helpful appliances—not just a coffee maker, but an espresso machine! The purpose of our trip was to visit our son, who is currently a professor at a local university here in the Minneapolis area. This rare gem allowed us to immediately settle in and enjoy our time together as a family. The host's attention to detail for making is feel welcome included a wonderful white bow tied around the mailbox as well as instructions on how to use the kayaks (great fun! Highly recommend!) The lake house is conveniently located so you really feel like you are out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, but in reality you are three minutes from all manner of restaurants and conveniences. While Gleason Lake is not great for swimming, you can kayak and paddle board. The wide variety of water birds is amazing! We enjoyed the nightly sunsets. Even the day it poured rain was fun and rejuvenating. This is a true home away from home with generous and kind hosts.

Gorgeous wooded setting, beautiful lake view and plenty of room, inside & out for our active family.

This house worked out perfectly for our long weekend in Wayzata. We needed a home that would accommodate 3 couples and 4 young children (ages 1 to 8). The three queen size bedrooms and one room with 2 sets of bunks fit the bill, however we did need to bring along a pack and play for the one year old. The living spaces are quite modestly furnished, but it had everything we needed with plenty of room for all. The highlight of this house is the view from the living room. It is breathtaking. The kids had a blast exploring and playing in the outside areas. The location couldn’t have been better. It’s only minutes from Wayzata shopping and restaurant district, Lake Minnetonka, the beach and marina. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely spacious home

This was a roomy home that worked perfectly for my three siblings, spouses, and children to use as a home base while in town for Christmas. They loved the view of the snowed-over lake!

Girls Getaway!

This was the perfect day for our girls get away! The house was big and stocked with everything we needed for a great weekend! The views were unbelievable! It was close proximity to fun places to go and explore! I would definitely recommend this for any fun weekend with family or friends!

Family Reunion

Great home location right on the lake. The house looks as if it’s undergoing some renovations but doesn’t take away from the beauty this property. We had 9 people stay and we entertained 19 for dinner and lively conversation. The neighbors are super nice and we shared many stories about their lovely dogs! We had camp fires each night and enjoyed a beautiful weekend. Kammay, our host, is amazing. She is very communicative and informative. Made our overall experience a joy. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Check-in & out was smooth and easy! I strongly recommend this property! You won’t be disappointed!!

The house is exactly as described and in pictures. The location is amazing and the home was perfect for our family. Kammy was very easy to work with and generously allowed us a late check out. We will definitely go back when in MN again visiting family.

Perfect Family House

Due to COVID, we needed to quickly move our son’s small wedding from MX to Minneapolis! This house was the perfect spot for half of the family attending the wedding. It was a great gathering spot, family friendly, minutes from everything we needed, but with the feeling of a remote northern cabin. The owner could not have been more responsive and cooperative with any question or request I had. Overall, a wonderful experience.
