The staff at reception, breakfast and check-out was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall stay did not meet our expectations.
Before arrival, I informed the hotel that my partner would be celebrating his birthday during our stay, as this trip was a birthday surprise. Sadly, there was no acknowledgment at all — not even on the actual birthday — which was very disappointing, especially after reaching out in advance.
Our room was directly opposite the elevator, making it extremely noisy throughout the night. Not only were the elevator doors loud, but guests waiting for or exiting the elevator were often very noisy and inconsiderate. Additionally, there was a parking or loading area outside the window, which caused further noise late at night and early in the morning. Sleeping properly was nearly impossible.
Breakfast was okay but limited. Cream cheese was missing on the second day and only provided after asking. The coffee from the machine was very bitter and unpleasant; coffee from the back was slightly better but still not good.
The location is not ideal, with a long walk to the nearest metro station. The room itself felt old and worn down and would benefit from renovation.
Overall, Milan was wonderful, but the hotel was disappointing.
