We checked into a room 1404, with a ocean view late evening. Every couple of minutes there was a squeaky metallic noise. Imagine sleeping when you hear that. Turned out it comes from the elevator adjacent to our room’s wall. After the first night we asked to switch rooms and after a usual - we are fully booked, there are no rooms available, come later asked for a manager. Got the “manager isn’t here today - send him an email. We came in the afternoon same day, explained the situation to a different clerk, got the same reply, asked for a manager again. The manager was a lady, who was annoyed that she was distracted because of our issues and had some attitude issues, which were quite obvious. We were provided two replacement rooms to choose from, but both of them had the same noise issue, which, when we talked to an operations manager at the elevator confirmed the issue exists, but it’s not in his ability to fix. Three nights disturbed sleep, no rest and metallic noise every couple of minutes. We chose to stay the remaining nights at 1105, which unfortunately still had the same noises. Room service was helpful though, no complaints there. Overall though, the hotel is quite outdated, carpet floors outside the room are don’t seem to be vacuum cleaned for a long time, elevators have coffee stains on floors for couple of days. Breakfast is hit or miss. Came at 9:30, no plates or forks, no eggs, yogurts or baked items, turkey sausages, coffee. Only one person is responsible for all.
