The Cottage in the Woods is a quaint, comfortable, unique guest house nestled on 6 acres just north of Memphis TN, in the heart of Lucy (Millington, TN.) It has two covered porches, with big private BACK yard overlooking the land. Come enjoy the peace and quiet! 2 BR, I Bath. (1 Queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 twin bed) NO SMOKING INSIDE, no parties or special events or unregistered guests and NO PETS. There is a 10.00 fee per day for each guest over 2. All guests must be listed. The Cottage is only about 20 minutes from Downtown Memphis, 30 minutes to Graceland, is close to USA Ball Stadium, NAS Memphis and Meeman Shelby Forest State Park. We live close by for anything you might need, and we look forward to your stay! :)

Die beste Unterkunft, die wir jemals hatten

Wir waren für 3 Tage in Memphis. Gastgeberin Leenie war herzlich und hilfsbereit. Das Ferienhaus liegt eine knappe halbe Stunde von Memphis Downtown entfernt, in einem sicheren Gebiet. Es ist von großen Bäumen, zwei überdachten Terassen und einem großen Garten umgeben. Leenie ist sehr darauf bedacht, den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten und jederzeit erreichbar. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist perfekt, von den Küchenutensilien über Internet und TV mit Netflix bis zu den Schaukelstühlen im Wohnraum und auf der Veranda. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. In Memphis unbedingt das Sun Studio besuchen!

Everything was Great from check in to check out! The Host was very Informative about the property, and Gracious while doing so!! It was Very Peaceful down an 1/8 mile driveway, tucked back off the road!!! Plenty of Restaurants and Shops. USA Baseball Field within 3 Miles! Loved it and will stay there again if our Grandson has another Baseball Game @USA!

We stayed at the cottage for 3 days while visiting Memphis for a bball tournament. From the time we booked the property we have had great experience with Leenie. She has been a wonderful host throughout our stay, always making sure we have everything that we needed. Cottage was great with plenty of room for our family. Everything you need is provided and Leenie was kind enough to walk us through the cottage as we arrived. Cottage is very clean. It is located 5 minutes from bunch of restaraunts, gas stations and grocery stores. Its about 20 minutes from downtown Memphis. We would definitely stay at Leenie's cottage again if given a chance!

Leenie was an amazing host and the cottage was perfect. I stayed for a week to watch my son play baseball at USA stadium only 3 miles from the cottage. The perfect place to stay for a baseball tournament! Leenie stopped by to show me around the cottage when I first arrived and was so welcoming and kind. She even lent me a book after I told her I had hoped to do some reading while I was there. I ate almost every meal at the cottage and it had everything I needed to do so. My biggest priority was feeling safe, as I was traveling alone, and I absolutely felt safe and comfortable at all times. I was working remotely while there and the WiFi worked well and I was able to spend one whole day working from the back porch with the sun shining, such a peaceful setting. Don’t hesitate to book this property! I hope to be back for more baseball next year.

Clean home, communicative host, convenient locationI met a friend almost halfway for a birthday trip and found this property and these hosts to be perfect for a relaxing celebration. Convenient to everything we wanted to do, I got to show my friend around where I grew up. The home was cozy and well cared for, the hosts friendly and helpful, and the covered porches - especially the rear overlooking a field - were perfect for morning coffee and comfortable chats.

Millington Baseball Stay

Quaint and comfy home away from home

Quiet and relaxing yet close to Memphis!

The property is just as relaxing & quiet as promised with not one, but two perfect porches! Leenie thought of everything to make our stay perfect! From comfy beds (the sheets are amazing!), to extra ice & chilled water ready for us-to actually taking the time to call some local restaurants so that we would know if they were open when we arrived on Easter Sunday!The home has ceiling fans throughout, a big smart TV, comfy couches, stools, and chairs. There’s even a desk where you could work if you wanted to. Leenie directed us to great local restaurants and things to do in Millington & Memphis.Thanks for letting visit if we ever visit Memphis again we will for sure stay here!

OUR KINDA PLACE!!

Our stay at “Cottage in the Woods” was wonderful!! We hope to always book “The Cottage” when heading to Memphis. The hosts were wonderful and responsive in every way. It was great to be kinda like out in the country but able to get into Memphis in less than 30 minutes! The Cottage was clean, roomy and, comfortable. There are TWO wonderful covered porches - each with several chairs AND a swing!!! It is surrounded by fields making it seem you are out in the country!! The beds are comfortable, and the pillows and sheets are wonderfully soft. Love the open area including the kitchen, living room and a desk chair and great lighting at the far end of the living room. The laundry room is a plus, too! So …… WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT IT?!?!? Thank you for everything, Leenie and Ray!!

Long weekend with grandsons

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for us. Room for our grandsons to run off energy outside. Beautiful porches to enjoy morning coffee & relaxing in the evening. All the comforts of home, very clean inside & outside. Owners are wonderful & close by for any assistance you might need. We were close enough to all the attractions we came to visit. Highly recommend this property.
