Eingezäunter Hof, Hunde erlaubt, Feuertisch | Nahe Skipisten

  • Bring the whole crew, and the dog. Sasquatchtown Abby is a renovated 4-bedroom chalet on a quiet wooded street in Massanutten Village, 5 minutes from the ski lifts. All the living space is on one level. Out back: a screened porch in the treetops, a propane fire table and a fully fenced yard where dogs can run off-leash. Inside: a stone fireplace wall, smart TVs, a stocked kitchen and a bunk room the kids will fight over. Sleeps up to 10.

    THE QUICK VERSION

    • 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, sleeps up to 10

    • All living space on one level

    • Screened porch with lounge seating and outdoor dining

    • Propane fire table and a grill

    • Fully fenced backyard, up to 2 dogs welcome

    • Bunk room plus 3 queen bedrooms

    • Coffee bar with a drip maker and a Keurig

    • Washer and dryer, 467 Mbps Wi-Fi, smart TVs

    • 5 minutes to the ski lifts, 4 minutes to golf

    THE HOUSE

The open living room has a stone fireplace wall, a rustic wood beam, a big smart TV, oversized green sofas and a bookcase full of books and board games. French doors open straight onto the screened porch.

The kitchen is fully stocked: dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, kettle, pots and pans, baking sheets, spices and wine glasses, with seating at the island. The coffee bar has a drip coffee maker, a Keurig and coffee to get you started.

    WHERE EVERYONE SLEEPS

    • Bedroom 1: queen bed

    • Bedroom 2: twin-over-full bunk bed

    • Bedroom 3: queen bed

    • Bedroom 4: queen bed with reading lights on the headboard

Room-darkening shades, plus extra pillows and blankets for cold mountain nights.

    THE SCREENED PORCH

The best room in the house. It sits up in the trees off the back of the living room, with lounge seating, an outdoor dining table and string lights. Morning coffee, dinner outside, card games after dark, and no bugs. Once the leaves drop, you get mountain views through the trees.

    THE YARD AND THE DOG

Stairs lead down from the porch to a fully fenced backyard that backs up to the woods. Dogs can run off-leash, and there's a cornhole set and a grill out back. Up to 2 dogs are welcome ($50 pet fee per dog). We leave out dog bowls, a leash holder and a waste station with bags. Shenandoah National Park allows leashed dogs on most of its trails, which most national parks don't.

    FOR FAMILIES

High chair, kids' dinnerware, children's books and toys, board games and room-darkening shades.

    WHAT WE PROVIDE (PACK LIGHT)

Resort activities (skiing, tubing, the waterpark, golf, the bike park) are run by the resort and need separate tickets. Many are seasonal and can sell out, so book ahead. Resort closures or sold-out activities don't change our cancellation policy.

MILITARY, FIRST RESPONDER AND SENIOR DISCOUNT

We take 5% off for military, first responders and seniors. Message us before you book and we'll send you a discounted offer.

    COMMUNITY POOL

The seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day) is run by the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and costs about $6 per person, per day.

Overall a good stay! We were skiing for the weekend for my husband’s birthday. The house is very cute and has a homey cabin feel. The host Kyle is very responsive and was super nice. We let him know about a few things that needed fixed and he said he would take care of it immediately. There is limited parking at the property however we were able to ply musical cars and got 3 cars and 1 suv to fit in the parking area. Overall a nice little weekend getaway spot.
