The house itself could have been cleaner and we were disappointed by the small number of utensils provided - there should be at least enough forks and knives for the number of guests staying (I think we had 12 forks total for our group of 14 and there are a total of about 17 beds). „2 families stayed here over the Australia Day long weekend. As displayed in the photos, the house is quite run down on the outside and in some parts in the inside but none of this affected our stay. Everything that mattered was great. Very clean, great working bathroom and kitchen, easy access BBQ, enough driveway parking for 2 x cars, 1 x boat and 1 x jetski, shops walking distance, the lake only a short drive. We were all extremely happy with Cumquat Cottage, it was comfortable, clean, adequately catered for three couples and great location. We attended a concert at Rochford Winery, had an afternoon at 4pillars Gin distillery and finished with Breakfast in the Main Street, whilst the other times enjoyed the ambiance of the cottage in Autumn. It's a quirky place and we enjoyed playing a bit of pool, the video games and the kids loved exploring the large garden with our dog. „We were delighted at finding it was a donkey rescue property, with 5 resident donkeys and a very old horse. Magnificent views across the vineyards and forest remnants, the tiny but very comfortable "caravan on wheels" was ample for our needs - small refrigerator, sink, kettle, toilet, shower, rear deck overlooking the valley. The most horrible thing was for me that they didn't renovate the bathroom since 1936. the begin of the 20th century. The room was also very small and we didn't use the kitchen because it wasn't comformtable. “
