This two-story classic home is located in Lewes’ beautiful Historic District, walking distance to shops and restaurants, less than a mile from Lewes Beach, and a block from bike trails.

The first floor has a large living room, kitchen with granite countertops, den/office (which can also be used as a playroom or convert to a guest room), and a large dining room. Comfortably furnished, this welcoming space will make you feel right at home. This level also has a powder room.
Bedrooms are on the second floor. Primary bedroom has a king bed. Second has a queen bed and a twin. Third bedroom has a set of twins. Bedrooms share a brand-new full bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower.

Relax on the large front porch with your morning coffee or hang out in the large backyard and play lawn games such as badminton or corn hole. Grill on the deck (deck coming May 2022) or light a firepit and relax under the stars. There is also a brand-new outdoor shower for your use. Ample parking and driveway.

Walk to town, walk or bike to the town beach (.9 miles), or bike to the ocean beach at Cape Henlopen State Park, or just relax in this lovely in-town home with the games and puzzles. Enjoy restaurants and after-dinner ice cream cones with no need to drive during your visit. If you want to eat in, a small but fully stocked, grocery store is just a few blocks away.

Lewes activities: kayak tours with bird and dolphin sightings; bike and paddle-board rentals; sunset cruises; fishing trips; Cape Henlopen State Park; farmer's market; locally crafted ice cream; excellent restaurants, as well as several family-friendly breweries. The town has more than 14 historic sites to tour, and the Lewes Historic Society offers several walking tours. There are wonderful antique stores and shops featuring local crafts all within easy reach of the house.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.
The home is not pet friendly.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement, and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Guest for the entire rental period. The Guest signing the Lodging Agreement must be at least 25 years of age and must occupy the Property for the entire rental period. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

We will be back - this place had everything PLUS location!

We have stayed a few places in Lewes, and we all agree that this one is the best! The location is key - teen nephews were able to walk to ice cream and a toy store for a basketball (for the surprise hoop out back), our 3yo was able to go on walks to ice cream and shopping without a stroller, the beach was a five minute drive away (particularly key if you only have an hour for a quick beach trip), and the adults finally visited the shops we'd driven by for years and wanted to see! The property is amazing. From the time we walked in, all three adults were immediately impressed by the size and layout - the photos 100% do not do it justice! The living room was comfortably large for our party of 6; the fenced back yard was a great, safe option for the 3yo, 13yo, and 17yo; and the outdoor shower is so much better than we were expecting with an enclosed, lockable changing area - you can take a not-just-rinse-off shower out there and be completely private and still have room to move. The house has everything you need and don't expect with a rental. You know how you always buy too much good food while on vacation? There are leftover containers so you can bring that extra chocolate cake to the beach the next day! Forgot kitchen towels? They're in the closet. Bought awesome bread from Station on Kings and want jam for your toast? It's by the door. Don't want to purchase a huge olive oil or salt or onion powder just for a week? Don't worry - those kitchen basics are there, too

Perfect Lewes Birthday Trip

We came to Lewes for a friend's birthday and it could not have been a more comfortable or better equipped home away from home. Cozy, situated just a couple blocks from restaurants and shops, this house was everything we needed. The hosts were courteous and easy to get in touch with if we needed. The house was clean and well maintained. We will be coming back again next spring.

Charming Lewes Home

This three bedroom house has been recently upgraded and has lots of great features including granite countertops, new bathrooms, very comfortable furniture and great conversation areas. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the accoutrements one needs to do meals there. We enjoyed a fire in the back yard, some sunshine on the back deck and watching the world go by from the front porch. The home is located in an Historical District and is within easy walking distance to downtown where there are restaurants, a charming bakery, and lots of fun shops to pick up something to remember your time there. This was our first trip to Lewes but it won't be our last and we will definitely stay here again at this home. It is perfect for a getaway weekend or a family vacation. The owners have clearly put a lot of work into making this a great rental choice.

Lovely house, terrific host, unbeatable location.

The perfect spot for a getaway! I've been visiting Lewes for more than 20 years, since I was a small child, and this is one of my top favorite houses I've stayed in. It's clean, both charming and functional, with an all new kitchen and a great puzzle selection. You won't feel crammed in, there's plenty of well-designed living space. The hosts Caitlin and Alex are super friendly and happy to help you with anything you need. The location is ideal - a very short walk to town, a slightly longer walk or bike ride to the beach. And very close to some of Lewes' underrated attractions, like the park (just walk down 4th st and turn left on park Ave) and the bike trail. If I had one complaint, it would be that Kings Hwy is a little less quiet than it used to be, but that's true of the whole town - and the noise doesn't really get into the house at all. 10/10 would stay again.
