The Leland Lodge is in the heart of Michigan's wine country as you indicated. We feel our rates are consistent with other historic inns and boutique, full service hotels throughout northern Michigan, but I'm sorry to hear you did not completely enjoy your stay. Note that room rates are lower when you book directly with The Leland Lodge. Our bar does stop serving at 9:00am (bar closes at 10:00pm if you are in before 9:00pm) and we are pleased to be the only year-round restaurant/bar in the area.

Laura, we appreciate your feedback. With only 56 hotel rooms in our quaint village (compared to the 107,000 hotel rooms in New York City), the hotels in town often fill up fast in the summer at the higher summer rates. I’m proud to say that we are the area’s only year-round and the rates for most of the year are 1/3 of what you paid in high season last week while you are here. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you this week.
