Pastures and dry burn, Rotherhope The lower stretch of Rotherhope Cleugh is one of a few limestone streams in the vicinity that are ordinarily dry at the surface. The names of two slightly higher up the South Tyne valley, Dry Burn and Little Dry Burn, gives their game away.
