A very "local"local pub. Very friendly and helpful staff and landlady, and also friendly helpful locals. Good breakfasts. We ate one night in the bar - proper pub grub! Great location for us going to events in South Petherton and Glastonbury. Lovely area - noted the South Somerset Cycle route for another time1

Charming Pub With Rooms
The rooms were spotless and very good value-for-money. We only paid for a twin room,yet we were given adjoining rooms with a bathroom in-between. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a great choice for breakfast. My only complaint was that it was a little cold and I couldn't work out how to programme the heating to come on with the remote control - it seemed very complicated.

Clean and friendly at a good price
Good clean comfortable room and really friendly, helpful staff. A few of the areas look a bit tired but not significantly so. The rooms are away from the main pub part so no problems with noise. Food was good, well cooked and plenty of it. The menu is mostly as you'd expect in a pub, but with a few twists. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

Very friendly place even the locals made us welcome. Their food was lovely, fresh and hot. The rooms were clean and a good size. Chelsea the bar maid was really friendly and provided and excellent bar service. Would definitely reccomend this place if you are looking for a small cosy quiet place to stay.

Great little country pub ! For a nice bit of peace and relaxing. Food and service excellent. Don’t expect 5* rooms as basic but cosy . Beds in particular are very good ! The food here was excellent, and the bar variety was more than enough to satisfy a thirsty traveller. Cider and beer variety to suit anyone’s pallet.

Thank you Ms Horne. As I mentioned on the phone before you arrived, there was a problem with the internet and, as you only booked same day, we managed to over book. I agree that it is mostly my fault but at such a busy period and limited rooms, our small business sometimes makes mistakes or has problems - like any other business. We did try to find you an alternative, arranged for Hotels.com to call you to assist and, as you know, you hadn't actually paid for the room as you were due to pay on arrival. I feel it is a shame that you have rated us 1 star when you haven't even had the experience of our property.
