We made a last minute decision to turn a business meeting into a little getaway on Whidbey Island, so in looking for a place to stay the night, we were excited to find this new B&B in the Comforts Winery with a room available. We arrived before the tasting room closed at 6 and were greeted with a free wine tasting, included with our night's stay! Zach checked us in, poured our wine and was most helpful & friendly. Walking up the short flight of stairs above the tasting room, we were very pleased to find out that our room had been upgraded to a Puget Sound view from the pastoral view we had booked. The 2nd story above the winery was just built last year, so the rooms are very clean, spacious & well-appointed. The linens, towels & bathrobes were luxurious. Just across from our room was everything needed for the evening & morning...a Keurig coffee maker with a great selection of coffees & teas, wine glasses, plates, cups, napkins & silverware. Included with the room was a delicious homemade breakfast that Rita Comfort, the owner had ready for us! She had just made the blueberry scones and served them with scrambled eggs (eggs from their chickens on the farm), bacon, fruit, roast potatoes. She was charming and let us know that their goal is a complete farm-to-table operation(they have an extensive garden, the vineyard, cows & chickens). It's also a wedding venue and so much more! We were thrilled to find such a treasure on Whidbey Island and hope to be back soon.
