Whiskey Woods - Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals

Come and enjoy a warm cup of coffee while listening to all the sounds of nature that surrounds the Whiskey Woods home. A true home away from home location within a mile of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. Perfect for any family needing a break from the business of everyday life. Once you walk in the front door you are able to see both the living room and dining room with plenty of open space at the front door. The living room area has a couch that can sit up to six guests, with a record player and albums for entertainment or just a cozy spot to stop and relax. The ranch theme décor makes it fun and inviting for all guest to enjoy. Under the kitchen table that seats approximately 5 you have a pretty cow rug. If you would like to stay in and cook some of your meals this kitchen has what you need from one end to other for all your meals. Located in the kitchen behind the yellow doors you have a washer and dryer. Master bedroom has a large rug with a Queen bed and private full bath. Master bedroom guest can also enjoy the TV. The master bedroom has plenty of room for all your clothes with his and her closet. Once you walk in the second bedroom you will see a bunk bed that is a queen on the bottom with a full on the top. The room also has a slender style desk with a chair and room for children to play in the floor. Bedroom #2 also has two closets and a large rug. A second bathroom is located in the hallway right outside of this room. Bathroom #2 has a tub and shower combo while Bathroom #1 has just the shower. Again this property has one of our best relaxing back porches available for some rest and relaxation. Outside there is a cozy seating area with Adirondack chairs to gather around the firepit and enjoy the night's sky. There is a gas grill at the property for guests to use.

This property is located outside the gated community of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure and approximately one mile from the amenities. This property is eligible to use the amenities at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. Rented golf carts cannot be taken to this house or drove on public roads outside the gate of Rumbling Bald. This is a non-smoking property.

AREA THINGS TO DO

Lake Lure Beach is just 5 minutes away, complete with water slides and a splash pad! The main Town of Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with riverfront breweries, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, only 15 minutes away.

For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

Our Guests are welcome to use the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort. The resort features all the convenience, entertainment, and amenities you need! Most of the features are located within 1.5 miles away from the home and can be accessed with the guest passes you will receive at check in.

House Rules

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS

First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 6 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 2 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.

ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.

LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.

FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.

NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.

PETS/ANIMALS:DOG FRIENDLY HOMES: This is a Dog friendly home there will be additional non-refundable pet fee listed. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED 2-Adult Dogs are allowed with additional nonrefundable pet fee of $60-$120. Dogs must not be left unattended or must be crated if left at home. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture; we ask that you please always pick up after your dogs and be mindful of the neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:

Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.

We were originally to have stayed here back in October but Helene changed that. We have been to Lake Lure for our previous 2 anniversaries and decided to try again for this house. Perfect for anyone who has knee trouble as everything in on one level. We plan to try again in the fall. We have been going to Lake Lure since our sons were young and now even the grandsons have a love for our beautiful region.

Property is very nice and in a beautiful location. Beds are comfortable and bunk beds are both queen size it appears. We could not get the Keurig to work. Very comfortable for 4 people and a little dog and nicely appointed and decorated. The driveway is a challenge, steep and narrow, but we were able to get in and out without mishap. All in all a very good stay.

Very close to Rumbling Bald Resort which has limited pet options. This property worked out great as my wife and I with two dogs were able to stay close to the rest of our family staying at the resort. Property also offers access/amenity passes to Rumbling Bald.

Our family of 4 stayed here during the Thanksgiving holiday. We have used VRBO for several years and this was one of the cleanest places we have stayed. Location is great. Private, but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants. Driveway was a little tight. We drove our truck and had no issues, but I'm not sure more than one vehicle would fit. Roads are a little windy, but we had no issues. Very comfortable and cozy place. Would definitely stay again.

We loved sitting and reading on the screened deck, surrounded by trees. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to actually prepare and serve a meal. It’s a great place to rest but also just 3 minutes from lake lure attractions.

We had a great time in this beautiful mountain home during the holidays. It was even decorated for Christmas which was a nice surprise. Very clean with great views in the winter.

This cabin is really nice and clean! It has everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed quiet time in beautifully located cabin. Close to Lake Lure and great hiking trails.

Renting the property had a few hiccups, lots of restrictions for a pet, but staff was very helpful. I was amazed at the ease of actually speaking with someone, getting a call back.. exceptional communication! If I’m ever up that way again, I would request the same house!

Quaint cabin located in the beautiful mountains near Lake Lure. Kitchen was well appointed with everything necessary including a Kuerig for morning coffee in the deck. Bedrooms and bathrooms were decorated well and provided comfortable rest. Books and games available for some family fun . We would definitely return !

Whiskey Woods was very roomy for our family of 4. Our favorite amenities were the record player & vinyl selection, board games, good nature walks, screened in porch, & lots of fun activities close by.

We had a great stay in this home. It was clean and decorated so cute! We spent a lot of time on the screened back porch. The amenities that are close by were fabulous. The splash pad, lazy river and pool were perfect for our 3 and 1 year old grandsons. We will definitely be back!
