würde es nicht wieder buchen
ok, nicht besonderes. Zu wenig Personal (2 Trainees) am morgen am Frontdesk wenn viele Gäste checkout machen. Nicht genug essen am Frühstückbuffet, musste warten bis Kaffee bereit war und trotzdem vom Personal informiert dass un 9:45 alles aufgeräumt wird.

Die Zimmer sind nett gestaltet, modernes Bad. Es gibt Wasserkocher ,Tee und Kaffee zum Aufgießen und einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Schränke gibt es nicht, das scheint landestypich zu sein. Das Frühstück bietet viel Auswahl. Vom Bahnhof in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Kyoto gerne wieder.

Great hotel for visiting Kyoto
The staff was very welcoming and the room was just great. Quite spacious, very large bed and everything we wanted to have. The room was comfy and it‘s near the station so you can reach everything easily. Definitly a recommondation and would like to visit again.

The hotel is nice and modern. It is walkable to Kyoto station, however it’s on the opposite side of where most of the tourist spots are.

Excellent hotel to stay at. Very close to Kyoto station. Would give it five stars across the board except for the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was sub par (all 4 dishes we had) and the cost was astronomical. Stay away from the restaurant and go support one of the many local places nearby.

Great hotel. Happy hour in the lobby is a great touch. Staff was very friendly and the entire property had a nice modern feel. The room needed a few more plugs and maybe some drawers.

Accessible from Kyoto Station, with about 8mins walk. Opposite the hotel is a teppan izakaya style restaurant, which the hotel is able to make the reservation for us in advance. The restaurant is excellent! Room is clean and spacious, ideal for young families. The staffs were all friendly. On check out day, I forgot that I left my passport in the hotel room safe, they were able to retrieve it and safekeep it till I am there to get it back.

The Hotel rooms are Ok , not much space but ok. The dining facilities are limited, one evening we arrived at the hotel and requested a table and were informed they were expecting a large group from outside and they could not provide neither a table nor room service. Strange they give preference to outside groups than to their guest. Staff to to friendly or helpful on this, we asked if they could inform us of nearby restaurants and they said they could not recomend any.

Mercury Kyoto is brand new and very modern. You can enter from the Main Street via the restaurant or in the “alley” (these are streets in Kyoto) in the back. There is no sign for the hotel on the main street. Overall excellent except for the west facing room I had was simply baking once the sun hits the window. The climate controls cannot keep up, so it was much too hot to get good night sleep (this is in Mach!) for two of the 3 nights of my stay (had one rainy day). I expressed my concerns politely to the staff and the concern was escalated to management - who brushed it aside (manager was not Japanese). All of my other hotels for this Japan trip have also curiously had west facing rooms with clear view of the sun during the afternoon to evening. None had this same problem and were quite comfortable.

The people and the hotel were very good. Clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Rich and very tasty breakfast buffet and everyone willing to help with any question we had. Located 7 mins walking distance from the Kyoto train station and 10’ by car from Gion which is one of the busiest and nicest Kyoto areas.

割り切って宿泊できるか?
チェックインの説明がマスクをしてモゴモゴ話して良く聞き取れない。チェックアウト時の宿泊税の領収書発行も、ずっと下を向いたまま、キーボードを操作しており、一体何をやっているのかわからない。やっと顔を上げたと思ったら、暫くお待ち下さいで、また、キーボード操作が始まり、呆れたので領収書はいらない旨伝えてホテルを出た。 部屋のハンガーの半分は、冷蔵庫や食器入れで塞がっていて、衣類の収納スペースも殆どないので、衣服の取り扱いに困った。 部屋の隅に家内がヘヤカラーを落としてしまい、取り上げようとしたら、隅が埃だらけで、蜘蛛の巣のような状態。ベッドと壁の狭いスペースにベッド用の照明を置いたので、掃除がし難い配置なのが原因かと思うが、あまり良い気持ちはしない。 部屋の中に、物を置くスペースが殆どなく、テーブルも小さな丸テーブル一つで、書類や食器を広げることができなかった。 インバウンド向けの、新規開業のおしゃれな、中価格帯のホテルのコンセプトがと思うが、部屋の狭さやオペレーションの質からすると、日本人には中途半端感が強い。 ロケーション自体は、駅からも近く、問題ない。

The hotel is new and very well appointed. The room was spacious and comfortable. USB Charging points and electric outlets were thoughtfully placed. The amenities provided were outstanding. A special mention for the interior decoration of the hotel, which was outstanding. All in all a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Exceptionally clean. Staff were also very helpful and friendly.

The interior dull & dark . Very difficult to find as its entrance on the main road was camouflaged by a resturant with hidden glass doors . The main entrance was on the backstreet ! Good location for average stay
Location was good in that it was quite central, albeit, down a smaller lane, but was quiet, so an advantage. Check in was average and seemed to be short staffed and didn't have anyone to help with luggage. The rest of the time, staff were helpful. Accommodation was quite good, but pillows were not that either hard or soft.

Fantastic place! Google states 3 stars but it is more like 5 stars. The restaurant attached has a great menu, and excellent service. The hotel itself is modern, clean and very well designed/decorated. The only downside was paying a 3000yen fee to 'dispose' of a perfectly good suitcase - I purchased a new case during the trip and stated to reception they could give the original (and perfectly clean/functioning samsonite case) to whoever they wanted or throw it in the bin - Should have kept my mouth shut when checking out as it ended up costing me 3000yen for disposal.
