Staff/ gym brilliant - other facilities run down
Gym area new and fantastic, other areas mostly run down. Room size is good, matress/bed comfy but also the furniture is worn - so is the bathroom with old, ugly shower curtains etc.. It might have been a nice resort years ago but these days are over. Staff is brilliant and they do their best but without a massive investment into the entire resort it will get worse. If you fancy a high quality resort than this is the wrong place to book. If you only need a bed during work stay its a perfect place.

Zimmer gut. Frühstück und Essen generell sehr gut und fein. Der Pool ist nett. Der Stand ist aber nicht so toll. Wir waren 4 Nächte im Hotel. 2 Nächte hätte voll ausgereicht. Kann das Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt empfehlen, aber nicht für Standferien o.ä.

Für einen Kurzaufenthalt geht´s
Haben auf unserer Malaysiarundfahrt (selbstfahrer) zwei Nächte hier verbracht, dafür ist es geeignet. Einen längeren Aufenthalt kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, da recht wenig geboten ist. Zimmer sind bereits in die Jahre gekommen, eher drei als vier Sterne.

Renoverungsbedürftiges Traumhotel am tollen Strand
Ein traditionelles, landestypisches Hotel (25 Zimmer) mit toller Atmosphäre, einsam gelegen, super Personal, leider hier und da renovierungsbedürftig. Wir sind mit Mietwagen aus Richtung Kuala Terrengganu gekommen. Die Einfahrt zum Hotel ist ca. 2 km vor dem Ort Merang (nicht zu verwechseln mit Marang südlich von KT) direkt gegenüber der PETRONAS Tankstelle. Es gibt vorher keine Hinweisschilder. Das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer in Búngalows groß und eigentich sehr schön. Allerdings bedarf es mal einer Renovierung, die Wände waren teilweilweise mit Wasserflecken und Schimmel versehen, die Toiletten waren sehr sauber aber alt und renovierungsbedürftig. Das Frühstück lässt zu wünschen übrig, die Mittag- und Abendkarte ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut, leider gab es nur warmes Bier aus Dosen und sonst kein Alkohol. Der Pool ist erfrischend und durchaus in Ordnung, die Liegen renovierungsbedürftig. Der weiße Sandstand ist eigentlich wunderschön, jedoch links und rechts vom Hotel teilweise mit Müll übersäht. In Malaysia sind alle Strände öffentlich, somit auch der Hotelstrand. Das Wasser ist türkis und sehr klar und sauber. Leider gibt es zu wenig Liegen und Sonnenschirme, die Strandbar war geschlossen und ist renovierungsbedürftig. WLAN gab es kostenlos in der Lobby, im Restaurant und am Pool. Auf den Zimmern funktionierte die Internetanbindung jedoch nicht (angeblich Regenschaden). Check-in und Check-out waren perfekt.

Das Hotel wird in der Nähe gerade neu errichtet, weshalb an der alten Einrichtung kaum mehr was gemacht wird. Am Strand ist so gut wie nichts los. Es gibt keine Möglichkeiten zum Windsurfen etc.

The hospitality received was 5 star. The all the staff were quick, friendly, helpful and responsible of their work. Keep on the good work. The room was comfortable. Although the bathroom could have a better shower head, probably a bit modern looking ones. Bed and pillow as comfortable. TV have good selection of channels. Breakfast buffet was good too. The selection was good but can be better, especially the choices of fruits, and if you have those type of coffee machine that have selection of latte, cappucino, etc, would be better.

First and Last Memorable Trip
Bath-tub was dirty and had hair inside when I checked in, informed housekeeping to clean and the housekeeper was not wearing a mask, took a dirty towel to clean it. After that requested for a change of room. The pillows were too soft and not good to sleep on, dust were everywhere inside every corner of the cupboards, hair dryer was not working (maintenance came to change the wiring), curtains had blackout on one side and not the other, causing the morning sun to be shining bright into the room, worst experience ever. However the hotel was good outside and the pool was good as well. Quite an old hotel.
