Nestled at the end of a private lane is Tahoe's Tranquility, an amazing park-like property situated on three acres and surrounded by 214 acres of natural forest. This extraordinary property has numerous trails perfect for hiking and biking right out the back door. Winter it is ideal for sledding and snowmobiling while summer is perfect for simply sitting on the deck watching the kids toss the ball across the expansive lawn or climb the play structure. The interior of this special home is warm and inviting with gleaming hardwood floors throughout the main level. The great room boasts a highly upgraded kitchen finished in tumbled marble and granite, a gourmet chef's delight. The adjacent dining area and living room are anchored by a natural stone wood-burning fireplace for those snowy Tahoe nights. Adjourn to the pool room after a great dinner or settle in to watch one of the numerous DVDs provided. After a full day of activities, you will enjoy retiring to the lovely, landscaped grounds with private decks, watching the sun set on the lake and soothing tired muscles in the bubbling hot tub that seats eight. If you need to work while on vacation, the completely furnished home office is available for your use. The lower level of the home contains a recreation area outfitted with a full size bar, pool table, game table and wide screen television for your enjoyment. Tahoe's Tranquility certainly lives up to its name, providing even more to your special time here at the lake.

Anyone renting this property during the snow season (Oct 15-May 15), should bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Please be advised, the access road off the main highway is difficult to ascend when covered with snow or ice if one's vehicle is not a 4WD and/or with chains.

Pet Policy

County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.

Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

Be Bear Aware
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
