Rented this place for 2 nights for a funeral. Checking in Jan 22 and checking out Jan 24, 2024. On Jan 22 we woke up and started our journey from Jefferson City Mo. to Killeen TX to make it to the funeral on Jan 23rd even though most of Missouri, parts of Oklahoma and Texas were covered in ice. We left the house at 6am in a van we rented and what normally would be a 35 minute drive to Kindgom City took us 2 hours. We waited for 3 hours at a gas station and Denny's waiting for conditions to get better so we could still make the drive to Killeen. During this time, I emailed the host and called multiple times to see if we could possibly get a refund due to this situation out of our hands. Since then, I've continued calling, leaving voice messages and multiple messages through Vrbo. At one point he stated he tried to contact me by phone. I left him a message through Vrbo letting him know when I could be contacted, I am still waiting to hear from him. This was the first time I used Vrbo. This will probably be my last.
