List of issues that need attention at condo1)Handles on refrigerator doors are loose and not easily tightened2)The flush valve on the toilet in the non-master bathroom is slowly weeping; probably need a new toilet as the valve mechanism is outdated and expensive.3)The coffee brewer/grinder has a water problem: when brewing coffee, water condenses in the grinder section and will make a mess of any beans being ground. This unit is not working properly4)The tile floor has scattered pits. These have filled with Maui mud and need a thorough clean out, not just a surface mop. Long term, these should be filled to avoid the accumulation5)The lattice cover boxes on the outdoor Mitsubishi mini-split compressors look like they block too much air flow. This will run up the air conditioning costs. Recommend removing half the slats.6)Dishwasher: was not run until leaving but does not seem to be working correctly7)Washer: the soap dispenser area stays full of water. Needs cleaning out?8)Lights in master bedroom closet do not work9)Lights over kitchen sink do not work

Wonderful stay in Maui

We had a wonderful time in this condo! It was well stocked, clean and had the most beautiful views! We would absolutely stay here again. The condo community is wonderful and has amazing amenities. Everyone here was so friendly. Great location. Truly no better stay in Wailea!

A gem of Maui

My wife and I had a great time. The condo was very clean and beautiful. The condo complex is very well maintained, the landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed playing shuffle board and corn hole. The condo had some board games which we enjoyed a few nights. The washer/dryer was great to have! The deck outside was nice to enjoy breakfast. Great location to get to many different places. Condo had almost everything you would need.

We loved the condo and all of the amenities. It was well equipped for our family of four. The pull out sofa bed was very comfortable for our two children. The lanai is a great spot for meals or just relaxing. We used the washer and dryer quite a bit, so we were happy to have them.

Fantastic place

We have been to Maui 15+ times and this is our favorite condo yet. Beautifully appointed and loved the deck. We spent so much time outside for all our meals and also doing some remote work. We had a small issues but management handled it quickly and efficiently. We will be back!!!

An Absolute Gem in Wailea!

"Our stay at this Wailea condo was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the property lived up to every bit of its advertisement. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the location couldn't have been better. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the Hawaiian heat, functioning perfectly throughout our stay. The keypad on the door added an extra layer of convenience, working flawlessly every time. What really stood out was the excellent communication with the property manager. Their responsiveness and attention to detail were over the top good, making our stay even more comfortable. The condo was fully equipped, and everything was in working order. The two full bathrooms were a game-changer, offering both luxury and practicality. To top it all off, the property was just a short walk away from a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Overall, our experience was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay."

Nice area, clean property, but long hilled walk from the beach

The property was nice, clean and updated, and the grounds are beautiful. Overvall, we enjoyed our stay, though I don't feel we got what we paid for/what we were expecting. Be careful to check all the fine print on fees/costs. What we thought we selected was listed at a nightly price that was less than half what it ended up being! We expected some fees, but this was crazy. By the time we realized it, it was too late to find other accommodations. This area is expensive to stay in, but our condo was NOT close to the beach, it was a very long walk (with a steep incline) to beach. We were near one of the quiet pools, which was nice. We also had issues with the air conditioning. We arrived late and they had the air turned off so it was like 85 degrees in the condo. It took the unit all night to cool things off, then every day during the day, the unit would get so hot the unit couldn't keep up so it would be at least 80 until later afternoon when it would cool down again. The beach near the property is very nice and the pools were clean. The property itself was something of a maze, and there were no maps available to show the best way to get from this property to amenities that were actually helpful.

Beautiful Condo, stunning and peaceful resort.

We had such a pleasant stay in this unit. We had pretty high expectations as the photo's really do make this a very appealing condo. A lot of Maui Condos are on the older side and definitely feel it, but 40E looked really bright and modern. It is rare that we have our expectations beaten but we were blown away by the unit. It really is HUGE. It's bright modern and airy with all the mod-cons you could desire. The location is pretty far from the Ocean, but the plus side of this is it's really quiet and peaceful. We sat watching stunning sunset from the Lanai and could see the morning light filtering in over the mountains. We only used the Quiet pool which was nearby and really relaxing, the main pool down by the ocean was really crowded and noisy and overall we were glad to be as far away from that as possible. It's a 5-minute walk down to one of the nicest beaches on the Island and then onto the Wailea Beach path to give you access to the whole of Wailea. We really had a wonderful stay and would recommend this unit and this Resort in a heartbeat to anyone!

Great condo at Ekahi!

My husband, son and I have stayed at Ekahi 3 times and this was our favorite condo by far. It is exactly as shown in the listing - modern, clean and roomy. We spent a lot of time on the spacious lanai. The location, while at the top end of the property, is quiet and a quick walk to the green path to the pool/beach. I was pleasantly surprised that the "starter kit" provided was ample for our 8 night stay at the property. There were also a few games and books, that provided some family entertainment in the evenings. Kitchen tools/equipment was well stocked, however NO extra pantry items at all - only salt & pepper. Just good to know when you're shopping on your way to check-in. The A/C units were a bit loud, especially at night, but did a great job keeping the unit cool. The bed was very comfy. The lockbox on the front door was a source of frustration as it was glitchy, requiring multiple attempts to unlock. Lockboxes are key when staying here so you don't have to carry keys to the pool or beach, and having it not work was really irritating. We even had to call for support after many many attempts. Once the lockbox is fixed, this place will be a 10/10!

Great location and beautiful grounds. The condo is well renovated, clean and comfortable. Would have preferred 4 beach towels opposed to 2. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. Lived the coffee maker. Very nice condo. Love having two bathrooms. All updated appliances in the kitchen. Well equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards etc. AC worked beautifully. Only negative was the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Very noisy. It would have been nice to have a grill. Overall very nice.

Great home base

This condo is the perfect home base for exploring the south end of Maui. It’s a well updated unit with a nice lanai, though minimal water view and unfortunately the entire complex was not allowing BBQ use while we were there. It is at the top of the hill but a quick 7 minute walk down to the pool and beach, and very close to the Wailea beach walk allowing you to walk to all the resort restaurants.

Great condo, but......

This condo is as advertised in the pictures and description. It’s a very well done updated condo with very comfortable furniture including the bed. It could......and should be a 5 star condo. Right now, it isn’t. The condo has two older AC units that are ridiculously loud - sleeping with them on is difficult and sleeping with them off is too hot. The bedroom ceiling fan also makes a constant loud clicking noise. Like most condos in Hawaii, there is a safe in the closet - unfortunately it’s apparently not accessible to guests - it was locked when we arrived and the manager didn’t bother to respond to our phone calls or texts. Also when we arrived the front door was already open and the outdoor table had old food on it and dirt. Ekahi Village is a great place to stay and this condo is beautifully updated and very quiet (when the AC and fans are off). Replace the AC units that are clearly old, fix the fan, tell your managers they need to do a much better job and this is a 5 star condo and would be a great place to go back to time and again.
