Condo in River Run w/ Private Balcony; Short Walk to Lifts/Dining/Shopping!

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom ground floor condo sleeps 8 with a king bed, a queen-over-queen bunk bed, and a queen sleeper sofa. It features an updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a private patio with partial slope views in the distance. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities. Plus, you're a very short walk from the high-speed gondola. Expedition Station offers shared amenities including a pool and a hot tub.

The entryway offers mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The first of two full bathrooms is located just off of the entryway and offers a shower/tub combination. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries. The living area features a smart TV above a beautiful stacked stone fireplace and a L-shaped sectional. For extra sleeping options, there is a queen-sized sleeper bed. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. Just off the living area is the private patio offering outdoor seating. Take in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the partial slope and mountain views in the distance.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. This kitchen comes stocked with household favorites including coffee + a coffee maker, hot water kettle, and a hot plate. Comfortably enjoy a meal with the entire family, the dining area seats 8 at a wooden dining table.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed with Ivory White Bedding and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower/tub combination and a water room for added privacy. The guest bedroom features a queen-over-queen sized bunk bed with Ivory White Bedding and a mounted flat screen TV.

It does deserve a 5 star rating because it was quiet, clean and comfortable. We slept well, the kitchen was equipped with what we needed, we loved the very HOT hot tub as well as the warm and welcoming pool every evening. The unit included a few games and a guest Netflix account, which was great. The queen over queen bunk bed was ideal for our 3 kids. The king bed was soft enough and we slept well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We come to Keystone every single summer and book a condo. This one was just as good as the others we've booked through the years.Some cons: 1) The bedding is synthetic and not cotton so though it's soft to the touch, it is NOT breathable and you stick to it if you get hot. I personally hated it but the rest of the family didn’t mind. 2) The thermostat is permanently "off" so all you have is windows and a box fan to cool off. At arrival, the unit was 78 degrees inside. Having the windows open does cool it down significantly and we were comfortable and enjoyed the fresh, mountain air but this brings me to the next con. 3) Construction noise. Eeak. It's right outside the windows (August 2025) and it was loud and obnoxious. On weekdays it started early too...between 7-8am. Just something to be aware of. But it didn't affect us too badly cause we kept super busy while visiting with daily hikes and activities.All things considered, it's a great choice!

We came here for a last hurrah before school started. It was so hot at that time and the condo didn’t have A/C. There was a fan in the bedrooms but it only fanned one side of the room in the master bedroom and on the lower level in the bunk bed so the top bunk didn’t get relief and no fans available for living room sofa pullout. All of the windows didn’t open. None of us slept good because it was so hot.I’d recommend investing and upgrading the condo. The dining room table and chairs have seen better days. The glassware were mismatched. Cookware looked so old. We didn’t have enough pots for our meals. One was either too big or too small. I made a batch of spaghetti sauce in one of the pots so I had to use the huge pasta pot for the spaghetti which took forever to boil because of its size. The spices looked like it was old too. I’ve stayed at better condos in the Keystone area. The location was great but needs an updating big time.

Amazing Quiet and Relaxing

Our family of six loved our stay in Keystone. We hiked and took in the many amazing towns surrounding Keystone during the day and relaxed by the pool and hot tub at night. Our place was very clean, we cooked in the well stocked kitchen in the evening, and had plenty of room to relax after full busy days out exploring.

Great ski lodging

The condo accommodations were perfect for our ski outing. Well equipped kitchen. Heated pool and hot tub steps away in the courtyard. Great proximity to Keystone and A-Basin. The communication and check-in/out process were easy to follow and the information provided for the condo surrounding restaurants was very helpful. Highly recommend.

Solid Family Weekend at Expedition Station

Overall, Expedition Station is ideally located at River Run base area right at Keystone. The unit is very well laid out for a family with kids, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space. The common areas including the outdoor pool and hot tub are great. The parking situation is ok if you're just bringing one car with the underground parking. Check-in process isn't ideal with timing and location of the office that you have to go to for key pickup.

Excellent Keystone Ski Location

This was the first time that my group of friends decided to stay near the Keystone Ski Resort. We had an excellent experience and will be returning in the future. You can’t beat the convenience of staying this close to the River Run Ski Lift. In addition, the check-in and check-out processes were smooth, we parked in a heated garage, and cooked most of our meals. I would recommend staying here to friends and family.

Perfect spot!

This was the perfect spot in Keystone! Location is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and anything you’d need from River Run Village. My teen boys loved being able to walk around on their own. Bike trail is right outside the door. The lobby pool table got its use as did the steam room, pool, and hot tub. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, spacious dining area, and we loved the sectional couch. We loved having windows open and my only suggestion would be to have screens on all the windows to fully access the mountain air. We’d definitely stay again!

Couch needs replaced!

Everything was pretty clean. Countertops were kind of hazy, needed cleaned again. You could tell the cleaning crew just ran through the motions. The condo was well stocked and decorated. The only complaints with furnishings was the couch and dining table end chairs. The couch is much worse than the pictures. It has been patched with black duct tape. It leaves particles on your clothes from the areas that are worn out and haven't been taped over. The dining chairs don't match and one is missing a seat cover. Expedition Station was nice for the price. Great location. Ski lockers don't have room for boots but the entry bench and cubbies within the unit made up for that. Norski ski across the street has the best ski rental price that we have found.

Great location for skiing

Overall nice property and would stay again but a few things that could be addressed. Communication and check in were easy. Location is great. Easy walk to gondola or river run village. Beds were very comfortable. The bunk beds look like queen beds which is nice but they do completely fill the room so no extra space which was fine. Only needed a place to sleep and my kids liked the large beds. The laundry room down the hall was never busy and we washed a load of clothes most days. Only negatives. The sectional couch was one thing that drew us to this listing. This couch however needs to be thrown away. The pics don’t show that It has many huge holes in it which are marginally covered with duct tape (yes duct tape). Second the master bath / shower has no door or divider separating it from the bedroom. If someone wants to take a shower alone, then others will need to leave the bedroom since there’s no separation. The toilet room / water closet does have a door. Lastly, the closet in the second bedroom is stacked from floor to clothes rod with a dozen pillows and blankets making it unusable (easy fix). Not a big deal since my kids live out of their suitcase anyway. We’ve stayed at other condos here and with a few updates I think this one would be on par with the others. We would stay here again since all we really care about is a place to sleep in a good location but certainly would expect it to be priced less than others given the duct tape furniture. 4 stars seems more than adequate for a duct tape couch but with a few changes I’d give it 5 stars.
