  • The warm and welcoming lounge has a Smart TV, comfortable sofa, easy chair, and dining table with views across Keswick facing south west for the afternoon and evening sun.

    The kitchen may be compact but is well equipped for your holiday. A small hallway gives access to the shower room. The east facing bedroom dressed with luxury linen and towels has beautiful views across the river Greta and Fitz park. The delightful sound of the river running past the building can be heard through the open bedroom window.

    This modern apartment makes the perfect base for two, with easy access to explore all Keswick and the surrounding area has to offer. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Access to the flat is via open balconies and stairs.

A great apartment for a weekend break

Really enjoyed our stay at Gretaside. The location is excellent. The apartment is small (as expected) but very comfortable. Parking was straightforward. Would definitely stay here for a few days again.

Ideal location

Ideally situated for bus network, restaurants, walks, and shops. Great that there was a designated parking space. For us not the most comfortable bed, but that is personal. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Very comfortable and well located flat in the centre of Keswick, with parking. Located on the second floor, so some people might find that to be a problem.

What a great location!

The kitchen and bathroom are extremely well appointed, but shame about the kitchen window surround which needs some work. Small apartment but big enough for a couple (who need to be fit enough for the steps to the second floor!). The mattress was rather firm for my taste, but it was a delight to hear the river gurgling by outside the bedroom window with a lovely view over the park and Latrigg. Needs a little TLC and maybe a little more attention to nooks and crannies. Over all - a great place to stay with the town only minutes away.

Stay at 8 Gretaside

Having previously stayed in various other properties in this block, this was the second time in this one. Our previous stay in here was quite a few years ago. The kitchen has had a recent upgrade with new appliances fitted. Unfortunately we were unable to use the induction hob and no literature was available. I visited the Keswick Cottages office and was helped by one of the staff who came back to the flat and managed to sort the problem and even printed the operation instructions for me which I inserted in the information file in the flat.

A fantastic Festive Stay!

We stayed over Christmas at Gretaside and the added touches of the Christmas tree and decorations alongside a Christmas card really made us feel welcome! The property was clean and had everything we needed during our stay, the location is perfect for exploring Keswick by foot! The view from the bedroom can’t be beaten! The shower could be upgraded very low water pressure but apart from that the property has been decorated and modernised recently. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We made a last minute booking for our Golden Wedding Anniversary and had a lovely holiday. It is compact, but well designed and we look forward to coming again.

Our happy place

This is our 4th stay at Gretaside, and it was excellent as usual. The position of the flat is excellent for going off walking all day, returning home either via the chip shop for a lazy night in, or coming home, getting changed and going for a night out in Keswick. Unfortunately there is a slight issue with a leaky kitchen window, which has got worse since our last visit, but it doesn’t spoil our stay, or put us off returning, but it does look a little unsightly. But we have stayed in other properties around Keswick (including another flat in the Gretaside block) and this is by far the best flat. Can’t wait to return.
