Sandy Creek Cabin - Authentic Log Cabin

A rustic cabin getaway with all the comforts of home. This is the perfect location to either have the ultimate outdoor experience or just stay cozy inside and enjoy the rustic ambiance. This property is close to a variety of outdoor attractions including the Kennerdell Overlook, Sandy Creek Bike Trail, Allegheny Bike Trail and scenic Freedom Falls. Enjoy the rustic space while still having access to modern luxuries such as wi-fi, a smart tv and a full kitchen.

The space
Cozy Sandy Creek Cabin warmly welcomes you to come and unwind in this unique and authentic log cabin. This cabin is situated on a cleared property close to a variety of outdoor attractions. Local amenities and activities include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, fishing, hunting and biking. A few miles down the road from this cabin you will find direct access to the Sandy Creek bike trail, which connects you to 42 miles of paved trails, giving bike access to the cities of Franklin, Oil City, Emlenton, and Foxburg, along with countless river views and two railroad tunnels! Also just down the road is the Kennerdell Scenic overlook, Freedom Falls and the historic Rockland iron furnace. The cabin is located just miles from access points to state game lands No. 45, over 5,000 acres of public hunting land. Approx. 12 minutes away is the Cranberry shopping area that includes a Walmart, various stores as well as numerous restaurants.

Guest access
During your stay you will have access to the entire cabin and backyard area. You will be the only ones staying on the 4 acre property. The neighbor's house and yard next door is separate from our cabin property and guests are not permitted on their property. Keep in mind you will likely see other vehicles driving onto nearby properties (this isn't a cabin completely secluded in the woods but rather in a rural neighborhood area).

Other things to note
Please keep in mind this is a very rustic cabin; you might see the odd lady bug or wasp, additionally the logs are a bit rough so the walls and beams may not pass the white glove test.

There are some lower beams in areas of the cabin, if you are taller than 6 feet you may want to be aware of this.

A window AC unit is in the living room and in the main level bedroom during the warmer months. Please keep in mind there is no AC unit in the loft bedroom upstairs
