The Hampton Inn at Kapolei is a basic hotel. This is our second stay at Oahu. And unfortunately there is not much good to say about this hotel. 1. Yes the hotel does offer free parking which isn’t the general rule in Hawaii but the parking is very limited and we could only manage to get a parking lot one time in our 12 days vacation. The other time we had to use the public parking of the mall which is okay but you have to walk a lot. 2. The hotel has a huge bug problem. There are flys (which does bite) everywhere in the hotel area, the lobby the pool, the breakfast area. The flys are even in consumables which the hotel offers in morning breakfast buffet. Very disgusting. We never had a real breakfast and did not use the pool because of the bug infestation of flys. 3. Speaking of the pool. The pool is tiny and the pool area is not enjoyable because it’s almost an indoor pool. No hot tubs. 4. Breakfast is standard nothing special. No fresh cut fruits just banana and apples. At least coffee all day long. I made a claim at the general manager but she only told me that she is sorry about the flys. And the reason of flys are the nearby ongoing constructions and will last for a while. Which could be true on the other hand, there are no flys outside or in any shop around the hotel, so I think it’s more like a problem of the hotel. The hotel also is located far away from any attraction / hike and sightseeing. You drive at least an hour to the good beaches at the north or east.

Schönes neues Hotel mit Fitness und Schwimmbereich. An der Rezeption war alles super, das Zimmer war groß und sauber man kann sagen wie neu. Leider war die Zimmerreinigung nicht so gut organisiert. Ansonsten ist dieses Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Top Hotel bis auf eine Sache...
Das Hotel ist wirklich gut. Die Lage etwas außerhalb ist kein Problem und man kommt schnell in die Stadt, wenn nicht gerade Rush Hour ist. Supermarkt ist auch sehr nah. Was mich allerdings wahnsinnig gestört hat ist die Tatsache, dass man in einem Hotel für 180$ die Nacht zum Frühstück mit Papptellern und Plastikbesteck essen muss. Geht‘s noch?? Da fängt für mich Umweltschutz an und das ist eigentlich ein NoGo! Natürlich nimmt sich der durchschnittliche Amerikaner auf für jeden Gang extra Teller und Besteck... Eine Schande für den Umweltschutz!!!! Daher allgemein ungenügend...

The only problem which i have already let them know about is they dont have microwaves in every room, which i find very wierd. Because they only offer it forthere deluxe packages apparently. Almost every other hotel i have ever stayed at has had a microwave in the room. Other than that the stay wwas amazing, it was near a bunch of restaurants, no resort fee like most of the Waikiki hotels, granted it was an hour away from Honolulu but it was amazing not having to be right downtown Honolulu and no resort fews. The parking was a problem because it was in a mall as well and it was in front of a 24 hour gym, but it was still worth it.

Friendly staff, great for our 1-night transit stay as there was no resort fee, no parking fee and situated at a mall.

The hot water in the room had no control and was always hot water. Not really clean restrooms too many small flies in the breakfast area.
