Sehr ruhig und sauber, aber alles sehr teuer. Leider hat meine Frau beim Frühstück mehrere verschimmelte Jogurtbecher gefunden. Das darf so einem Luxushotel nicht vorkommen.

The staff were wonderful as usual. The continental breakfast had a good selection of food and beverages. The evening canapés were fine for dinner for us. Having food available in the lounge was convenient and helped us make the most of our days. The beach was also great for stargazing.

The Orchid is a beautiful property. The tropical landscaping and beautiful beach & shoreline are stand outs - great for bird and turtle watching. The vast majority of interactions with staff were above and beyond courteous and friendly; it felt like staff enjoyed their work. In terms of rooms, our King room was kept very clean and all furniture, including the balcony felt up-to-date. While some of the bathroom fixtures appear dated, it did not detract from our hotel experience as they were in good working order. Thanks again, Orchid Hotel. You made our trip to the island very enjoyable.

Fairmont Orchid is a beautiful resort. Lots of waterfalls and koi ponds around property. Many restaurants on and around the property. Snorkeling was great and a p[protected area for small children to snorkel in. Staff is amazing!!!

Fairmont Orchid is top notch.
I highly recommend booking the Gold Experience. The staff and the free snacks in the club room were great. I also loved the private beach!

Valentines Day
The facility and grounds were amazing. The staff outside and at restaurants were amazing. The Gold Experience was NOT worth it during the pandemic as it does not allow any type of extra service so until that is lifted I would not recommend it nor did they offer anything for Valentines Day etc. The on site Hertz rental car was kind of a joke, the island is not crowded and they just didn’t care, so I went elsewhere, basically rent your car from airport.

The Fairmont Gold floor was fantastic and completely worth booking. The lounge provided complimentary breakfast, all day non alcoholic drinks, afternoon tea, pre dinner appetizers, and later evening cookies. Not to mention friendly concierge service.

Gold Floor totally worth the upgrade
The team on the Gold Floor was exceptional. From the staff at the private front desk, to the wonderful crew in the Gold Lounge, to our warm and friendly housekeeping crew. We couldn't have dreamt of a better place for our elopement/babymoon.

The property had an array of foliage, a waterfall, and koi pond. We stayed in the Fairmont Gold VIP floor which was immaculate. The staff & concierge were friendly, professional and made our stay a delight.

Best birthday ever
We loved our Gold Experience. The check in was easy and the people at the desk were so nice and helpful. Our room was at the end of the garden but we had a partial view of the ocean from the lanai. Our room was so quiet,we missed hearing our forest full of coqui frogs! We live here on the island and had heard that the gold experience was Golden,and we agree. From the cupcakes,including the gluten free one for my birthday to the gluten free breakfast option to the smiles and the helpful staff when we left our snacks in the car,we were blown away with the service. Even when we had a bad experience at the HaleKai, they bent over backwards to make up for it. Mahalo nui loa to the Fairmont Orchid Gold Ohana!

Best Birthday ever
From greeting to checking out, our stay was magical. The Fairmont Orchid Gold experience was top notch and we will be back. This hotel is our go to on the island , as we live on the Hilo side. It is now our "other home". The food was fabulous too. We dined at Brown's Beach House, had the venison and my husband hadcthe filet, delicious! Our server Alice was so sweet and talked story with us. A round of applause for the staff of Gold. They really are so helpful and are so cordial.

I really liked the personal attention. The grounds flowers waterfalls and beach view is just beautiful. I didn't think the air conditioner was strong enough and the water pressure in the shower needed improvement. Also the beach needs umbrellas set up for the loungers.Overall wonderful hotel and property.
