Watch whales, turtles, monk seals, and spinner dolphins swimming playfully in the beautiful, blue Pacific Ocean right from the privacy of your patio.

Featuring a roomy, California King size bed in the bedroom and a comfy, Queen sofa sleeper in the living room, this condo can accommodate up to four guests. The spacious kitchen with granite countertops is fully stocked for preparing meals and comes with a stunning ocean view. The bathroom includes a tub/shower combo and a large granite vanity with plenty of space to get ready for the beach or rinse off after a full day of island activities. AC in the living room and cool, ocean breezes throughout the property.

On-site property amenities include an oceanfront pool with lounge chairs, gas BBQ's, one assigned parking space, a coin-operated laundry facility and of course, breathtaking views of some of the most radiant sunsets in the world. Beautiful view but needs a bit of maintenance

Gorgeous views and easy access and easy check in. That said our first impression after entry and being overjoyed at gorgeous view out the sliding door to lanai was a musty/sewer odor. We ended up keeping bathroom door shut at all times as we suspect that the AC unit in living room was pulling air from bathroom vent.Other small issues were difficulty in closing front door and opening and closing patio door. The sun shades for patio door also coming loose at the top and the kitchen faucet spray selector needs maintenance. These were all minor things that I would normally not even mention but on top of odor made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.

Amazing views and nice furnishings!

My daughter and I loved this place! It was very private and had the pool basically to ourselves. The sea turtles were fun to watch as they came right up to the sea wall every day. We could walk to the beach and across the street was a fabulous Chinese takeout restaurant. The sunsets were magnificent.

10th Anniversary

Property in great condition. Great views, quiet and peaceful. Condo had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time. Will be back for our 20th anniversary. 🙂 Anyone complaining about this place should lower their expectations and standards. It was GREAT!

Great place to stay in Maui

The unit was clean and in a great location overlooking the ocean. Turtles were constantly swimming along the sea wall out side of the back porch. The beach accessories (chairs, towels, cooler) were incredibly useful. Sunset views were beautiful. Our stay was great and we recommend Kahana Reef

Nice unit, incredible views

Great stay for my family’s first visit to Maui. With a little one, we spent a lot of time in the unit which was very relaxing. Breathtaking views being on the ground floor; it was amazing to take a quick dip in the ocean just a few steps away. We saw sea turtles from the living room and sharks on the shore when the neighbors tossed the ice from their daily catch. Complex is well maintained with quite a bit long term residents. China Boat across the street was convenient and delicious. Gas, general store & restaurants are all close by. It was a long drive just about everywhere, especially if you want to drive the road to Hana, which we wound up near on 3 different occasions. I have a thing about lighting – all the bulbs are daylight/cool tone (except for kitchen). It was like living in an office with the bright white light. Not what I want to experience on a vacation. I suggested they change them to a warm tone. Pros: view, plushness of bed, nice sheets Cons: sliding door is heavy and hard to open, only 1 pot, no tongs or pasta scooper, no dish strainer, bright light bulbs, sparse kitchen

Plan on getting next to zero sleep

We had a wonderful time in Maui. However we were unable to get any sleep because of a light that shines right through the blinds all night long. It seems like a bunch of the other rentals in the same complex put up blackout curtains ($100 max) for there guests but this management company suggested “turning the round plastic handle to close the blinds”. Talking to me as if I didn’t know how to close the blinds and acting as if this has never happened before. I was completely shocked at there response. I was then told they would call the manager on property and see what they could do but I never heard back about a resolution so that we could sleep in the bedroom. We ended up having to use the pull out bed in the living room, where it was darker than the bedroom. Also, the cleaners totally omitted cleaning the fan in the bathroom as there is dust and dirt filled at least a 1/3 inch thick.

Good second choice

we were offered this property after the fires at Lahaina made our West Maui vacation unavailable. I'm grateful for the substitution. The property was older and in a more urban environment that we would have preferred but once we were in the condo, the beautiful view, pristine pool area, and soft sandy beach to walk on more than made up for it! We were conveniently located to restaurants, shopping at Wailea, trips to Kula and Paia.

Great stay

The listing very accurately describes the property. It is centrally located in West Maui. 15 minutes to Lahaina, 10 minutes to Kapalua. The view was awesome. Sat on the patio and watched whales every morning and evening. The decor was basic but had everything you needed Management company was very responsive and made checkin and checkout very easy. Would stay here again. There is a sea wall not a beach, so could not take a long beach walk.

Love the ocean!

This was a great stay for what we were looking for! The location was awesome being right on the ocean. We loved sitting on the lanai watching and listening to the waves. We had a beautiful rainbow greet us the first morning, and saw several lovely sunsets. There was a small beach to walk, and plenty of larger beaches, restaurants, and shopping options within easy driving distance. The welcome basket was very much appreciated, and we had everything we needed. One minor inconvenience was that the bathroom tub did not drain properly. A major issue was the rooster that started crowing every morning at 4:30 am. Obviously not within the owners or management control! Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this unit. We would stay here again!

Perfect place to stay when on Maui for the Sentry Tournament of Champions

We really love Kahana, and this was our first time at the Kahana Reef. Very well appointed condo, with everything we needed. Best part of all is being so near the ocean waves. We spent every morning on the Lanai at daybreak, and watched the nearly full moon set. So love it here.

Everything about the place was great. The only things we had difficulty with was the ease of closing the front door and back slider. If we had to get out the back way quickly, it would be very difficult. There also wasn’t a pan/pot of any kind to cook with. There are several frying pans, but no regular pans/pots.

Kahana Reef Ocean Front

Nice little condo main floor oceanfront. We loved being able to walk straight out from our lanai to sit by the ocean and view the sunsets. A real home-away-from-home. Upgraded with nice, well-stocked kitchen - large fridge with ice-maker a bonus! Pretty much everything you'll need to cook meals at home once you provide the groceries, plus two barbeque areas on site. A great home base for accessing wonderful beaches and coastal trails on the NW side of Maui, and shopping and restaurants. The little beach accessible from the stairs on the property is a nice place for a swim or play in the waves. Sand is lovely. Can often see turtles. Snorkeling better nearby at Kahekili Beach. Some nice little stores and restaurants nearby and others a short drive away. Bedroom was a good size and bed comfy. Nice closet with lots of hangers. Security light outside bedroom window was bright. Blinds don't quite block it out. A bit better room darkening blinds would have been nice. Beach chairs and cooler available for use which was also great & two big beach towels. We would have liked ensuite laundry, but the units really don't have room and the shared laundry machines are good. $1.75/load each to wash/dry in Nov'22. Can pay with app but we used coins. With two week stay, needed to wash towels, etc. but laundry looked after by cleaners when you leave, so that's nice. When we needed help with the electric door lock, the management company responded quickly. They also reached out to us when we arrived to make sure everything was good, which was most appreciated. Starter supplies provided such as dishwasher & laundry soap which was sufficient for our stay. We were a bit surprised to find construction going on in the building, as that had not been mentioned. Removing old carpets in common halls lead to loud noises from grinders during the day (8-4) sometimes but was only on our end of the building for two days & we were mostly out anyway. We were glad that the area outside 120 had already been done before we arrived but they still need to replace the carpet there so could be some future impact. Otherwise, the cement building is quiet and neighbors were good. Main floor allowed for nice access to visit and meet people, too. Great unit for two adults, but there is a pull out couch as well. We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. We would go back again to Kahana Reef and recommend a main floor unit like this one. Oceanfront is the best!!
