-Outdoor Amenities-

The outdoor bathing area is Desert Flora's signature experience. Beneath a timber pergola, a sculptural white bathtub sits beside a beautifully patterned tile shower, surrounded by tall cacti and warm wooden fencing. Take your time with an open-air soak, rinse off beneath the shower, or simply enjoy having a space dedicated to doing absolutely nothing.



A few steps away, the expansive deck brings together a bubbling hot tub, built-in seating and a cowboy tub, with desert mountains rising in the distance. The cowboy tub offers a refreshing way to cool down during warmer months and is unavailable November through March.



The rest of the backyard is designed for enjoying the outdoors at your own pace. Settle into a sun lounger with a book, claim the outdoor bed for an afternoon rest, or prepare dinner on the propane BBQ before gathering at the patio dining table. As evening settles in, the fire pit makes a natural gathering place for conversation beneath the desert sky.



Wood fencing encloses the backyard, while cacti, desert trees and natural landscaping create an inviting setting that feels distinctly Joshua Tree.

Inside, the living room offers a bright, comfortable contrast to the desert landscape. A curved cream sofa, woven accent chairs, layered textiles and a vintage-inspired rug create a welcoming space for conversation, reading or a relaxed movie night.



Soft natural light fills the room, while arched shelving and carefully chosen furnishings add character without feeling overly formal. A smart TV, books and board games provide easy entertainment when it's time to come indoors.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen brings a little architectural charm to everyday rituals. A natural stone accent wall, white cabinetry, marble-look countertops and arched shelving give the space a warm, contemporary feel, while the farmhouse sink and full-size appliances make preparing meals easy.



You'll find a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware and everyday dining essentials, along with a drip coffee maker, French press and kettle for your morning routine.



Just beyond the kitchen, a round dining table sits beneath a statement woven pendant, with patterned chairs, cushioned bench seating and warm desert-inspired accents. It's a cheerful spot for breakfast before exploring Joshua Tree National Park, an afternoon snack or a lingering dinner at home. For meals outdoors, the private patio offers another inviting setting.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Desert Flora has two thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, each with a queen bed, making the home especially inviting for couples, close friends or a small family traveling together.



One bedroom features a woven pendant, a comfortable armchair and soft bedding accented by a floral throw, creating a relaxed space for reading and unwinding. The second offers a rattan headboard, ceiling fan and understated natural textures for a peaceful night's rest.



The home's indoor bathroom features a contemporary vanity, round mirror and walk-in shower with warm wood-look tile and matte black fixtures.



And of course, the outdoor bathtub and shower offer an entirely different bathing experience, where fresh desert air and open sky become part of your daily routine.



-Converted Garage Lounge-

One of Desert Flora's most unexpected features is its converted garage lounge, an airy additional living space with a large garage-style door that opens toward the outdoors.



Comfortable seating, woven lounge chairs, soft textiles and a casual table make this an inviting place to spread out. Enjoy a morning coffee with the door open to the desert breeze, gather for board games, or retreat here for a change of scenery while others relax in the main house.



With multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, Desert Flora makes it easy to enjoy time together without feeling like everyone needs to be in the same room.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Desert Flora is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is unavailable for guest use from November through March.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub is serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub and outdoor bath areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
