Poor entrance outlook, rest ambiance is good. Food presentation is good but the quality and variety of breakfast items is lesser than Best Western Plus just opposite to it. Stayed for 2 days and both days there were no bananas in breakfast. Sausages are permanently of pork and do not provide beaf/chicken sausages. They charge for parking which is not mentioned while booking the hotel

Location was good. Hotel is dated and room has odd smell. Elevator didn’t work. Got an unexpected charge to my debit card for $3.00. Was told later it was for parking security…??? I travel a lot. That’s a new one! And wasn’t informed about it ahead of time.

The stay here was a nice get away for the weekend. The bed and pillows made for a great rest while the rest of the hotel was just as relaxing and clean! The shower was perfect with great smelling shampoos and body wash! Would love to stay again

Key fobs didn’t work well. Breakfast nice but not hot. Elevator out. Room nice, but price was high for last night. ? Nice outside area. There shouldn’t be a charge for parking. Evening reception or bar. Staff was great. We would stay there again.

I liked the room. I am confined to a wheelchair, and the bathroom was very good. However, the room next had two dogs that barked at one point for two hours right at bedtime! We called the front desk, they tried to help. The dogs started barking at 5:45 am. It was very irritating.

We have been staying at Residence inn in Joplin Mo since 2012. We have always had a great stay. Workers are always helpful and joyful. Rooms are clean,beds comfortable. Breakfast is always good. We highly recommend Residence Inn Joplin Mo.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff
We've stayed in this hotel four times in the past year between our travels to Texas. We return for the comfy beds, clean hotel and great breakfast. But what puts it over the top is the friendly and warm staff. From check in, kitchen staff, housekeeping, maintenance to check out...wonderful, friendly service. These days its hard-to-find quality people, I hope Marriott recognizes they have an entire team of quality staff in Joplin Mo. Kudos to each of them!

Nice hotel, lousy shower
Overall, the hotel was fine. However, the flow of water from the shower was pathetic. I’ve traveled all over the world, including many places with water restrictions, and this particular showerhead was the worst.

Will Stay Again
People next to me were a little loud, but calmed down later in the evening, a dog was barking across the hall pretty regularly, but I think he was left alone in the room for a while. Understandable as I had my dog with me, but overall the stay was great. Nothing bad to report, other than being very surprised there was a $80/night non-refundable pet fee. The front desk person was very prompt, professional and courteous. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel, petty parking charge.
We were charged a $2 incidental charge to park. This is Joplin Missouri. Parking isn’t at a premium. There is literally a giant Sams club parking lot next door. The charge is super petty and was not expected.
