Mountain Retreat in West Jefferson

Welcome to Twisted Chimney Haven!

Twisted Chimney Haven is a charming home located just outside of West Jefferson. About 20 miles to Boone, 8 miles to West Jefferson, and less than 7 miles to Jefferson, this cabin is convenient to many amenities and fun things to do in the High Country. Some local attractions in Ashe County include golf at Jefferson Landing, a walking mural tour in Downtown West Jefferson, a vibrant farmers market in season, cheese factory tours, and local breweries to visit. There are many fun activities near Jefferson and south toward Wilkesboro.

Guests can access the New River just 4 minutes away at the New River State Park and enjoy fishing, tubing, rafting, or getting their feet wet. Numerous areas are nearby to drop off your rafts and friends, take a vehicle to a pick-up spot a few miles away, and spend an afternoon rafting down the New River. Many nearby guide services will get you geared up for tubing, kayaking, or rafting. There are also many guided fly-fishing and reel-fishing options for native and released trout, small-mouth bass, and other native sport fish.

The main floor living room has comfortable furniture around the gas log fireplace and TV. There are two dining tables next to the kitchen to accommodate a full house, a gas grill, an outdoor dining table, and other deck seating. The lower level family room also has a TV, a gas fireplace, a pool table, and a kitchenette. Guests will enjoy the rolling hill and valley views from the upper and lower decks.

The master bedroom on the main floor has a TV and an ensuite bathroom. The guest rooms include a queen bedroom and a room with two twin beds. Both are on the main level and share a hallway bathroom. The lower level has a bedroom with a king bed and a full hallway bathroom. There is an additional office/reading room with a queen sleeper sofa and a rollaway twin bed stored in the laundry room.

Twisted Chimney Haven features a tall, unique, stacked stone outdoor chimney in the lower portion of the spacious yard, with plenty of space to run and play. Additional amenities include central heating and air conditioning, wifi, Smart TVs for logging into your personal streaming accounts, and a washer and dryer. No pets are allowed at Twisted Chimney Haven. The paved driveway has parking for three cars just outside the double-car garage.
