We opted in for the half board option as well. While the portions were great, the overall quality isn't as high as other ryokans we've stayed at in the past. The in-room onsen was lovely and felt very private in the garden setting. You can hear the train go by periodically, but that's expected given how central the location is ...

„Best view of the room, it was amazing. The food was also very good “

„Lovely place to stay and the stuff was more than kind! “

„The hôtel is in the middle of the Izu Island and allows to start some visits on both sides . It is essential to have a car - the restaurants are available within 10 min drive . The breakfast is good but a lot of people - expect some waiting - Hotel works together with the La Forêt hotel and sharing some facilities ( ie. The pool on the Marriott side ) . The also organize massages in the hotel room - very good “
