Located about 30 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance, this cabin is a comfortable home base for park adventures without staying right in the busier West Yellowstone area. Spend your days exploring geysers, waterfalls, wildlife, scenic drives, fishing spots, trails, and all the outdoor beauty that makes this part of Idaho so special. Then come back to a quiet cabin where everyone can spread out, soak in the hot tub, grill dinner, warm up by the fireplace, and settle in for the night.

Rustic Roots is not a brand-new, ultra-modern cabin — and that’s part of its charm. It has that comfortable, old-school cabin feeling: warm wood tones, cozy gathering spaces, a fireplace, bunk rooms for the kids, and the kind of relaxed setup that works well for real family trips. Think coffee in the morning, muddy shoes by the door, kids piling into bunk beds, and everyone ending the night around the fire or in the hot tub.

The cabin itself is not waterfront, but guests have access to a neighborhood boat ramp and dock nearby, and walks through the area offer pretty views of the water. Most guests come for Yellowstone and Island Park adventures, but the lake access is a great bonus if you want to fish, bring a boat, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk near the water.

KITCHEN:

The kitchen is stocked for regular cabin meals, snacks, coffee, and group dinners. Please note that there is no dishwasher, so guests should be comfortable with a little classic cabin-style cleanup during their stay.

Rustic Roots is located in Island Park, Idaho, about 30 minutes from Yellowstone National Park’s West Entrance. You’ll also be close to fishing, floating, boating, Henrys Fork, scenic trails, ATV routes, snowmobiling, and year-round mountain adventure.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Rustic Roots is not a waterfront cabin. It is located in a lake-area neighborhood with neighborhood boat ramp and dock access nearby, and views of the water can be enjoyed while walking through the area.
We do not have a long list of rules, we simply ask that our guests respect our home. No parties, no smoking/vaping inside, no loud music, and respect the space.

Absolutely no smoking in the property! You must be at least 25 feet away from the property to smoke. Any violations will result in a 500$ fee.

Check in begins at 4 pm and check out is at 11 am
