Leider wütete dort 2017 der Hurrikan Irma. Teilweise sind die Auswirkungen jetzt noch zu sehen. Die Fotos von den Aussenanlagen auf der Website entsprechen nicht der Wirklichkeit und sollten daher angepasst werden. So gepflegt siehts da heute nicht mehr aus. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals läßt zu wünschen übrig. Wir fühlten uns eher geduldet denn als Gast. Das Zimmer war mittelmäßig sauber, aber jeden Tag gabs frische Handtücher. Auf der Terrasse waren leider nur alte Plastikstühle und ein wackliger Tisch. Für diesen Preis hätte ich mehr erwartet. Für einen Mietwagenfahrer ist es gut gelegen. Man ist "schnell" in Key West, Miami oder den Everglades. Das Auto konnten wir direkt vor der Haustür parken. Zu Fuß ist man in 5 Minuten im Theater of the Sea und wenn man die Straße überquert gibts im The Oceanview Inn & Sports Pub was zu Essen und trinken. Muss also nicht immer autofahren.

Wir waren vorgewarnt von Serviceschwäche,Unreinheit und Abgewohntheit. Alles traf zu. Irma verstärkte das ganze erheblich. Schade für die Gäste! Das Objekt als solches ist nicht Schlecht. Wir haben 2Nächte nur zur Übernachtung genutzt. Dafür reicht es.

Gut für Auto-Touren zu den Schönheiten der Keys!
Die Umgebung des Hotels ist gut,liegt nicht direkt neben der gut befahrenen Straße nach Key West.Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt,täglich neue Bade-und Handtücher.Sehr viele Palmen drumherum,allerdings kein Sandstrand nebenan.Wir sind immer wenige Meilen zu einem Park-Strand gefahren,wo wir öfters ganz alleine waren.Der Eintritt dort ist unter Vorlage des Hotelnachweises kostenlos.Das Hotel selbst ist eher ein Motel,aber es gibt die Möglichkeit zum Frühstücken auf dem Zimmer oder Balkon.Ansonsten mit dem Auto wenige Meilen zum Breakfast oder Lunch fahren.

Abgewohnte Anlage (Fotos von 2003)
Haben 1 normales Queen-Zimmer gebucht, im Nebengebäude 1. OG erhalten. Kein Komfort, alte Möbel, Dreck an Wänden, Türen, Kühlschrank. Staub und Haare im Bad, Bettwäsche unsauber, nicht voll fkt.fähige Klimaanlage. Ameisenstrassse quer durch das Bad. Muffiger Geruch im ganzen Gebäude, Sportraum mit uralten Geräten (Rost an den Hanteln etc.) und Empfangshalle ebenso ausgestattet. Poolbereich schön angelegt, allerdings alles lieblos mit alten Plastikstühlen und durchgelegenen Liegen ausgestattet. Kein eigener Strandzugang! Tiki-Bar nur für priv. Feiern buchbar. Bekamen wegen des schlechten Zimmers ein Upgrade auf die "Honeymoonsuite"-etwas sauberer und mit Jacuzzi im Bad. Gesamtausstattung allerdings auch mangelhaft, als Honeymooner wäre uns die Lust auf Flitterwochen vergangen. Achtung-das "Resort" - vor Ort ist es nur noch ein Motel- wirbt mit "we specialize in thel finest weddings in the world"... Gäste nach uns beanstandeten ebenfalls Sauberkeit und allgemeinen Zustand der Zimmer.

Das Hotel ist für die Kategorie echt gut und vor allem der sehr freundliche Service hinterlässt bei der Abreise ein sehr positiven Eindruck!

Nie wieder. Maßlos enttäuscht.
Der Aufenthalt war nicht sonderlich schön. Das Gebäude in dem unser Zimmer lag, sah aus wie eine Baustelle die nicht fertiggestellt worden war. Zimmerwände waren total verdreckt. Balkon war verdreckt, sowie die Balkonmöbel auch. Der Aufenthalt war eine Zumutung. Für das Geld eine Frechheit. Die Anlage an sich könnte ganz schön sein, nur leider fehlt die Pflege. Die schöne Tikibar war nie besetzt und auch so war nur selten Servicepersonal sichtbar. Also keine Ansprechpartner. Nur ein Telefon mit einer angegebenen Rufnummer an die man sich in Notfällen wenden kann. Das bin ich bislang immer anders gewöhnt gewesen.

First off what your state is mouse dropping is incorrect. Per your first review you did not state anything negative. Then to change it to this statement just because we have a no refund policy. We had already changed the dates for you once with no charge. You were offered a different room. You refused.

We stayed in a family cabin. Although not very big, a bit older, and did not have walls between bedroom and sitting area/kitchen, it was comfortable and clean. The common areas are clean and well kept.

The staff was very friendly, the pool area was beautiful, and the property grounds were nice. But the rooms and cottages, although very clean, were run down and in serious need of updating. Beds and plumbing were terrible. There is NO BEACH (like the pictures show), no bar, no marina, and their breakfast is poptarts and granola bars!

Would we use Coconut Cove again - yes we probably would. We think that quite a bit could be done for guests though, to encourage them to stay and not just use it for an overnight stop. It is a very attractive site with a good waterside and super pool. The rooms are OK but a little in need of uplift. The breakfast is adequate. Its Florida - no orange juice or for that matter water. Once the muffins had gone they didn't reappear. We provided our own juice and some jam to spread on the bread. The single toaster was a low quality domestic one not suitable for a hotel breakfast area.. Beware the wi-fi. If you read carefull it is only available near to reception. This is not difficult to provide at room level these days. We had to use our UK base mobile broadband. Next it says Paul's Grill and Tikki bar. To be fair we knew there was no food available, but to have a Tikki bar and not serve any drinks is ridiculous. There were occassions during our seven night stay when we would have eaten and drank in if possible, But we had to do all of this ourselves. Basically we don't think the owners really want people to enjoy what is a very attractive location.

Yes they are clean. We did have a issue with one of our machines leaving rust marks and has been replaced.

Nice and quiet. Our room was clean but small and adequate for the one night stay we had. We didn’t stay for breakfast it’s served from 9-11. Also there is a sign that states Tiki Bar and Grill but they do now have one but they not have a big tiki area outside you can make your drinks at, smoke and watch tv. The pool is clean and cool, which would have been great but it was a little windy . We stayed on a Sunday night. We loved the cats around the property being cat people, they cuddled with us by the bar and it was adorable

We checked in at 6:00 pm after traveling by motorcycle all day. Had to wait 15 min for someone to show up in the checkin area. Our room was horrible. Bathroom ceiling and vents had black mold. Ants crawling around the tub and shower. The sliding door had lost its glass seal so you couldn’t see through it. The curtain for the door was missing holders so it just dropped down. Tv remote didn’t work. Overall very disappointing stay. Expedia should not be recommending this facility.

Sorry you had to wait to check in. There is a sign in the office to call the number if I am out of the office. Per the tv remote they run the cable not the tv that is why we have signs to turn on here. As people have lost or taken the tv remotes. I will definitely look into your other issues in your room and have the issue resolved.

The manager that checked us in is really nice, the pool & the beach are nice junk on property, the room conditions were horrible. Entry to the rooms smalls of cat urine from the stray cats everywhere, beware, they will try to get in your room. They pissed on one lady’s pillow.We had sand on our floor when entering had no place to put our stuff. Couch sleeper looked like it was from Walmart had stains on it that were so disgustingly gross that we couldn’t put our bags on it, the bathroom has no counter space except for a cheap little cupboard over the toilet which is not good your toiletries can fall into the toilet, my husband was trying to get his flip-flops that slipped under the bed, that was a bad mistake. It is so disgusting under the bed with the liner of the boxspring hanging down and underneath that was so filthy, dark black dirt it has not been cleaned in so long we had a bed that only had one sheet and it was not a fitted sheet. I got bit every night from either fleas from the cats or bedbugs Our air conditioner did not work , if you know Florida you need it it also had a sign on the thermostat saying you cannot, turn it below 70° or the air conditioner, will freeze up, we stayed in room 14. It is so close to a kids area with stinky couches and a ping pong table with 12/13 year olds banging around late at night. the walls are paper thin you can hear everything, you can tell it used to be a charming place it needs a lot of work I would not recommend.

The pool was rated #1 here in the keys not sure why you are calling it junk. The sandy beach area is racked and cleaned daily for your enjoyment. Per the bathroom it is just like what is shows in your pictures with the white marble sink. Per the air-conditioners yes we put the sign on them as many guest will turn them down into the 40s and this freezes them up. You were also offered to have a room change and you declined. Per the cat issue the guest was told multiple times not to let him in her room and she kept doing it. She even apologize to us for letting him in. Per your bed every bed had a full set of sheets and 4 pillows with a blanket. Your room had a closet to put your luggage in and hang your items also a dressor. Per the futon yes they are getting older and we are working on getting new ones soon.

Not to bad for the price!
Unfortunately the whether wasn’t great, was a rainy day and we can’t enjoy the place But we walk around was nice the property with something to do in place pool, fishing or enjoy the sun by the sea side The room was ok for a place by the sea, no elevator and need to climb 3 histories for our room, outside building looks old need some retouch But we can stay again in future !
