Connemara Glamping

We had a fantastic stay at Connemara Glamping! The accommodations were wonderful. The beds were comfortable and warm. The bathroom was amazing with a heated floor! The kitchen had everything we needed to help keep our bellies full.

Perfectly peaceful

We had absolutely wonderful and peaceful Stay at Michael and Janet Conamara glamping. It was so peaceful, we had the soundest sleeps, everything was clean and the amenities were plentiful. Would love to come back here if we ever come to Western Ireland. Thank you from Canada

What a fun experience

We had such a great time here. We were here for 5 nights. It’s a great location for exploring. We took day trips and came back to relax at night. Janet left provisions for us knowing that we would arrive late in the evening. If you’re game for comfortable accommodations different from a motel or hotel this is it.

Words alone are not enough for this lovely experience!

What an amazing few days. Ireland is spectacular. The safari tents are beautiful inside and the view is amazing. The owners are caring and attentive with great communication and advice on local activities. Klymore Abbey is a must see and an easy drive in the heart of Connemara. If you are looking to unplug in a peaceful, romantic setting then this would is a must do.

Thrilled

We were a little cautious about staying with Connemara Glamping given usual Irish weather, but could not have been more pleased. Near daily rain including a few good storms didn’t get past the tent. The electric blankets and mattress covers took away the occasional chill at night. Everything was clean and comfortable. A great stay.

Superbe et confortable

Première expérience de gamins pour la famille qui nous donne envie de renouveler. Chez Michael, les tentes sont magnifiques et très confortables. Particulièrement la literie, qui donne envie de rester sous la couette ! La tente est aussi très bien équipée. Michael est un excellent hôte, disponible et accueillant. Petits et grands ont adoré le séjour !!

Un camping con muchas comodidades

La tienda de campaña estaba muy bien equipada y con decoración agradable, los colchones con mantas eléctricas lo mejor. Eso sí, en el resto de la tienda la temperatura es más difícil de regular. No deja de ser una tienda de campaña. Los dueños son muy agradables y mandaron toda clase de indicaciones para llegar.

Wonderful stay in Connemara!

The tent was beautiful, cozy, dry (even while it rained), and full of charm. We enjoyed the comfy beds, warm duvets, and fully stocked kitchen. Enjoying the blue super moon from the front porch was an added bonus! Janet was a lovely host. Very easy to communicate with and the thoughtful touches like leaving basic supplies and homemade lemon cake were so appreciated as we had just arrived in Ireland. Michael was also so helpful and full of great information from local walks to great fish and chips to help with the bonfire. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends. And of course we all enjoyed visits from Riley, their sweet pup!!

Expérience plaisante malgré quelques bémols

Très belle tente, agréable, confortable, bien équipée, propriétaire sympathique, discret et disponible, sanitaires de qualité, douche spacieuse et eau bien chaude. Propreté des environs et espaces extérieurs bien aménagés. Deux bémols : l’annonce n’indique pas que l’extinction des feux se fait avec le soleil, car il n’y a pas d’éclairage dans la tente (des filaments décoratifs qui éclairent à peine, et qui fonctionnent à pile, bof éco-responsable). Le site est par ailleurs assez proche d’une route, qu’on ne voit pas mais dont on entend le bruit selon le vent. Michael nous a dit qu’il réfléchissait encore à une solution d’éclairage plus adaptée, pas évident mais au vue de la qualité des tentes, ce serait dommage de ne pas lever ce bémol.

Fabulous Stay in Inverin

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at these luxury safari tents in Inverin! From the moment we arrived (such a warm welcome from Michael and Riley) to the moment we left, we felt right at home. They are so well kitted out with everything we needed and I would say more 'glam' than 'camping' for sure!! Such comfortable beds with the added luxury of electric blankets and a fantastic bathroom to boot. The Rossaveal ferry port was just 6km from us which was fantastic as we did a day-trip to Inis Mor. Such a peaceful location but yet, close to everything we needed. Michael told us, on arrival, that the local shop was like a tardis and he wasn't joking - everything we needed!! I would highly recommend Pota for local eating - we had breakfast here on the morning of our departure and it was fantastic. The beach is a short walk from the accommodation and lovely for a swim. On a windy evening/night, yes, the inside walls of the tent flap a bit but that didn't bother us at all - remember this is 'glamping' after all!! We will DEFINITELY be back!! Private, relaxing, great location!

Truly a unique experience! We loved the opportunity to enjoy the Connemara wilderness while staying in a very comfortable and pleasant place. The tents were well appointed, sturdy in the rain, and quiet in the wind. The screen windows allowed us to control the temperature, keeping it cool despite the summer heat wave! Additionally the summer light lasts forever (dark ~11pm in June), allowing us many lovely hours on the patio enjoying the pastoral view. The kitchen is functional. Plenty of seating. The tent "rooms" can be opened or closed as needed for privacy. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and fully lit and heated. They did a nice job providing improvised lighting in a campsite environment. There were solar lanterns and creative fairy lights. The location was perfect for exploring Connemara and avoiding the Galway traffic. We were easily able to get to Ashford Castle, Aran Islands, and the NW of Connemara (great tours at DK Connemara Oysters and Killary Sheep Farm). There are several pubs scattered nearby & the late sunsets made driving up until 10-11pm easy. Janet and Michael were respectful of our privacy but communicative and prompt to respond to our questions via text or in person. All in all, a completely wonderful, memorable, and relaxing stay!!

10/10 would Glamp Again

If you are looking for that perfect middle ground of hotel and the outdoors, then this is the place. The location was absolutely beautiful is every direction. Janet was very accommodating and gave an extensive list of activities in the area, places to eat, and places to explore. This is an excellent location for trips to the Aran Islands with the ferry port only a five minute drive away. I wanted more of an experience of my time in Connemara and this glamping adventure was it. Looking forward to the next time we can visit.

Lovely Stay!

We absolutely loved the tent. It was beautiful and so well done. The host was very accommodating with our needs. We couldn’t enjoy to the fullness due to our schedule but hope to return on our next trip to the island.

True Glamping

Absolute pleasure to stay here. Hosts were a delight and very helpful. Only recently opened but already ticked all of the boxes. Tenting with all the comforts: proper bathroom, comfortable beds with quality bedding. Great attention to detail: quirky ornaments/furniture, interesting books, board games, plenty stuff for beach: bucket/shovel, paddle boards, wind breaker etc, midget attractor to keep them away from tents (seemed to work; not one midget in or around tent). Location tranquil, great place to chill, pleasant view. Nice walk or few minute drive to lovely quiet sandy beach. Kids wanted to stay longer. We will definitely be back.
