Management seems dishonest and/or incompetent. I made reservations through Expedia for 5/23-5/25. At 9:20 AM on 5/24, I was called abruptly and asked to leave ASAP. My room was really needed! and "booked for that night." (I'd already paid for it.) The Expedia site showed 6 identical rooms still available for that date 😀. It took an hour to resolve this debacle and get a refund (shout-out to Expedia customer service!) Management: just tell the truth. Or come up with a better lie. Or have a policy. Or have more than one lady capable of making decisions. Or understand your booking software. Or comprehend the basic value of customer loyalty and word-of-mouth advertising. I'm a nice kid - quiet and clean. (I even take out my own garbage!) I may look like a fly-fishing hippy with weird hair, but I also have a Masters degree and a diverse social network. I'd been a huge cheerleader, reccomending fellow sportsmen and friends traveling to stay here. Not anymore. This place was rumored to have issues with guests using/selling drugs in the past. You've done a great job cleaning that up! I'm not a fan of paying a $200 deposit. I understand the intent, yet... Even locals like myself need a "stay-cation" or find themselves in transition. The Econo Lodge next door seems cleaner and better updated too. Good luck guys!

I don’t know how this place got an 8.4 score on Expedia? It’s a tired old place that needs a good cleaning. I always use the Hampton Inns as a benchmark. They consistently deliver a clean safe experience. So if I compared this hotel to a Hampton Inn I would score it a 5. Maybe it scores well because of the price as they have many high ratings. I would never stay here again. AC unit not working properly and there was something in the room that I was allergic to. We checked out at 4:45 am. The lady that checked us in was excellent but the hotel was not!

We are sorry you were unhappy with your stay. We would of happily refunded your money and let you find other accommodations upon your arrival and directed you to the closet Hampton Inn. We are a budget friendly motel and sometimes that isn't for everyone.

Good motel for the price. Rooms clean and decent beds, was pretty quiet. Wifi did not work but otherwise everything was decent.

This was just like a little crackhead area. Although it was the cheapest place around, there was a reason. If you stay here, make sure you keep the door locked and have your weapon by your side.

I have stayed in several hotels where the bed is rock hard and other people are running around and being loud. This hotel the beds where comfy and it was quite. You can hear some of the door where hard to shut. But it wasnt like it was all night long. I saw no issue with it. I felt safe and secure. The price was great on a budget. Thank you for making my stay great.

Motel West is dated however it is clean, comfortable and very good value They used to provide a continental breakfast (which was excellent), but sadly, since Covid, they have chosen to discontinue that service. A block East of Motel West is Brady's Family Restaurant which is also dated...but the food and the service is excellent. Brady's makes the removal of West's supplied breakfast easier to accept.

Room was very clean. This motel seems to be very popular and people coming and going at all hours.. parking areas are tightly packed at night. I did have some difficulty with the tv the first night, front desk staff was very responsive and showed up at my room within a few minutes to resolve the problem

The hotel was clean, the staff was accommodating however, the bed was very uncomfortable. The area is not a good area. Was greeted in the parking lot apon arrival by 2 of this new crazy worlds drug zombies. The hotel staff was on top of the situation and I feel bad for them. Not a good location for someone traveling alone.

Idaho Falls is a safe area in general. And the surrounding neighborhoods are also safe. We do however occasionally get some travelers that are questionable because of our affordability. Locals know we don't tolerate much here. We are a family owned business and often have our children and grandchildren in tow. I can assure you the area is just fine.

We would have to raise our prices in order to bring back breakfast. With the money you are saving enjoy one of the many breakfast spots right here close by. We even offer a discount coupon to one of the diners.

Once you say that you have a pet you are assigned a room in a building that is smelly, A/C Heater needs to be replaced as it ran the entire night. The pictures of the rooms online do not look anything like the rooms in the pet building. It is as if you are being punished for having a pet. Room is same rate and then a pet charge on top....Our pet is cleaner than some humans.

We have pet rooms in all of our buildings. The pictures online are ones I took myself of multiple rooms and all of our room types. There is a button to adjust the A/C to run the fan continuously or shut off. We love pets, I even bring mine to work and he is often with me in the office. We charge one of the smallest pet fees in the city (10) to help with clean up bags and the extra cleaning that gets done in a room. We usually get great feedback from guests about our pet rooms, so I am sorry we mixed the mark with you. Maybe budget friendly just isn't for you.

I had a good stay here. The beds are too firm for me and the fridge I had in my room froze everything. I didn’t know how to adjust the temperature. The heating/air conditioning in the room was wonderful and easy to use. The service was excellent! Just wish it had a free breakfast of some kind. But overall it was good and worth the price!

At the budget rate you paid for a room with 2 beds, adding a free breakfast is not something we can offer. We do offer a discount card to Smitty's Pancake and Steak House, a local favorite that makes an amazing breakfast. Thank you for staying with us.

We were just travelling through and thought we take a chance on this motel and were pleasantly surprised. The room is large with a king bed when we thought it would be a queen. Clean and nicely decorated. I’d stay here again
