I tried to cancel this reservation I made online soon after arriving and immediately recognizing I had made a serious mistake. Neither the hotel night staff person nor Expedia would allow me to cancel. Smell/ deodorizer was overwhelming in front reception and gave me a headache. Building in poor state/ repair. NO receptacle for phone charger. Staff ignored requests and issues and would not listen. Interaction was laborious, to say the least. Climate unit in room had horrible burning smell and did not seem safe. It was 17 degrees outside. I went all night without sleep. Room in poor shape, uneven floors, dirt or bugs in lights, loud bathroom fan, dirty/ stained washcloths, metal base to bed that was loud and black things on sheets. I did NOT use the bathroom shower/ bath, becuase of poor condition and did NOT unpack my things. Bedding uncomfortable andinadequate, went all night without heat. With poor dirty condition of everything I did not use bathroom except toilet and did NOT eat, since it did not seem safe to do so with poor and dirty condition of everything else. This hotel needs to be torn down. Everything looks like it was rescued from a dumpster. I did not dare sit in the room chair and the only reason i slept in the bed is becuase expedia and night person would not let me cancel. It was a miserable, dirty and unsafe experience. I could not see my car from room, could only see trash from window. Immediately left in AM and key at front desk. I just wanted out.
