Wo das Signal schwach ist, die Verbindungen aber stark…

Feeling overstimulated by everyday noise and constant demands? Family too big for a hotel room? Red Hawk is a quiet, wooded cabin designed for intentional disconnection — a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature, with others, or with yourself.

Here, the pace slows naturally. Enjoy morning coffee on the screened-in porch while listening to the woods, spend your days reading or exploring nearby trails and scenic roads, and wind down in the evening around the covered outdoor fire pit — roasting s’mores, sharing stories, or perfecting your favorite mountain pie recipe.

Red Hawk is a favorite retreat for families visiting Penn State or Juniata College, longtime friends reconnecting, and professionals seeking a restorative getaway. You’ll be within easy driving distance of Raystown Lake (with public access points including Snyder’s Run and Seven Points), Lincoln Caverns, Trough Creek State Park, and charming local towns — while still feeling far removed from everyday life.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests, with one main-floor bedroom and an upstairs loft. It’s well-suited for those who value space, privacy, and presence — not packed itineraries or constant connectivity.

Many guests tell us their favorite part of staying at Red Hawk is simply staying put: watching wildlife, playing games, enjoying unrushed conversations, and spending a weekend free from constant notifications.
