Sorry Marlo that you were not prepared for that. I know we went back and forth beginning with five or six dogs then two and then it went up to three. It was hard to keep up with the changes that were being made and you actually finally confirmed the dogs because you wanted to be transparent on the number the day of the arrival. I believe we originally agreed on a pet fee that would have been more palatable. There is a button that needs to be checked when you book that indicates you have pets. You only mentioned you were bringing a pet and then I found out you were going to bring five or six golden retrievers. You did not indicate in the booking system that you were even bringing pets until questioned further. booking. In our communications I told you I would be happy to work with you on it but you didn't confirm the final number of animals until day of arrival because you said you wanted to be transparent about the actual number of dogs you were bringing in. Since that did not happen I had to contact VRBO to advise on next steps. Once the support staff came in and activated the charge It was what was listed on the original booking versus anything I could change for you. I believe you said you had used VRBO before do not quiet sure the mix up this time. Crating is awesome for those who choose to do it but not necessary. Most dogs enjoy the farm property and as you saw this weekend it can be extremely messy depending on the circumstances. The pet fee covers the general wear and tear from these conditions and is in line with other pet fees in the area. Traveling with five or six dogs which was the original request is almost intimidating I would think for most host of their homes. Just be clear in your communications and transparent in the number of animals you were bringing. I would have been glad to work with you.
