Incredible place
Extraordinary. Place was spotless, I mean spotless. Never stayed in a place so clean. The people were great and very helpful, the cottage was very cosy in a beautiful location by the water. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay and wished we had had time to extend our visit. The owners were friendly and helpful in every way. We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities that we needed. I would recommend The Anchorage to anyone who wants to be close to a beach, a pool, and lovely views of the harbour.

We stayed at this property numerous times before in different cottages. Cottage no. 3 was updated inside and nice and clean. Complaints screens on windows had holes that allowed small bugs in that created a gross mess around the sink area. The chairs on the deck were in rough shape and falling apart..could not use the arms as nails rotted out. Barbecue but had to ask for tank and utensils where if bbq incld think that should already be done. Checkout had to wait for someone to come back for 1/2 hour to checkout which seemed unacceptable when they wouldn't allow us a later check out time.

This is an OK place but just OK. It’s location is good if you need a spot in that area. But it is very tired and neither the bed were not comfortable. There was lots of hot water for the shower, but it sprayed only a light mist, which was tough to use efficiently.

Very nice spot. We had two bedroom cottage, we had been upgraded because there was a mistake on our reservation but we got a place to sleep so no worries. Marina right across the street and guests have access to the Anchorage dock, kayaks and rowboats. We couldn't indulge because it was raining but very nice extra. My only complaint is we wanted to leave at 8:30 am and the office was closed until 9 am. I wasn't sure if they needed to see me again or if we were paid up so I didn't want to leave and I didn't see a "key drop" so we hung around. It would be helpful if they told you want to expect when you check in. Great property, we enjoyed our stay.

This property is centrally located to all tourist highlights and beaches. Nice to go out to see the sights and return for pool and relax time. Cabins well appointed, nice pool, kayaks a fun touch for the kids. Close to grocery store and coffee house in walking distance. Great staff, so relaxed and friendly. Can’t ask for a better place. A gem!

My stay was short but great. Checking in was very smooth and quick. Everything was done and ready and key in hand in a short few minutes. Cottage was perfect everything needed was there. Deck to sit on and enjoy the view of the the ocean and a dock if you want to really take it all in. Over all great stay. Thanks for everything. PS I even forgot my pillow and with one simple call the next day I had it back in no time. :)

Stayed in a 1-bedroom with kitchenette, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Not cottages where you're at all "roughing it", featuring just enough modern touches (such as actually being heated and having a pretty generous hot water supply), the only issue I can imagine anyone having is if they're particularly sensitive to an old mattress. We may yet wind up here again.

Nice resort but the fourniture is old
We had a great and quick welcome. The cabin was clean and always cool with no AC because of a nice constant brease. It was tight for 4 but OK. The TV and beds are too old in our cabin. Low support and noise when you move. Dont take the rocky road to get there if you use GPS !

Worse hotel of our 5 day trip to NS.
We stayed in cottage 4. This cottage smelled very musty, the style was 1970 s and the mattress was so soft we rolled into each other, did not sleep much that night. This cottage need a huge update.... The main Inn looked very nice but I didn't go in. We saw or spoke to no staff. Envelope with key was left taped to door. No impressed...

Checked out the beaches, yard sales and did some local shopping. Had dinner at a local restaurant and went to the Shore Club to see Matt Minglewood. Hotel was in a convenient location, clean and comfortable and Kate was very friendly and accommodating.

Hubbards Nova Scotia
I went to Hubbards for a wedding, this place is very nice, comfortable and quiet and lovely picturesque surroundings, I stayed in the "house" so didn't get to see the cottages. Only down side was no breakfast, which would not have been a problem in the cottages as they have kitchens.

Enjoyable
I have been traveling for four weeks and this has so far been my favorite place to stay. I stayed in one of the cottages for 3 nights. It was very clean, kitchenette was well supplied with equipment. The bed was very comfortable. The cottages are well situated for travel to popular places such as Lunenburg and Peggys Cove. I would highly recommend staying here and will do so myself when I return this way.
