The Space:

This booking reserves both first-floor apartments, Units 1 and 2, in a renovated historic building, part of the Blodgett Urban Lofts. Each party gets its own kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms, side by side, with an interior door between the units that can be opened for your group.

✔ Units directly above: in a historic building, footsteps and some sound from upstairs are normal

✔ The two units share one A/C system. Message us if you'd like the temperature adjusted

✔ Shared water heater: hot water can take 5–10 minutes to reach full temperature and runs warm rather than very hot, so staggering showers helps with a full group

✔ Parking spaces are tight, best for compact or mid-size vehicles

✔ The driveway, parking area, and dumpster are shared with other building guests

✔ Starter supplies cover your first 24–48 hours; longer stays should plan to restock

✔ Parties and events are not permitted

✔ No on-site pool or gym; Emancipation Park's free public gym is a 3–5 min drive

✔ Emancipation Park, less than a mile away (3–5 min drive). Founded in 1872 by formerly enslaved Houstonians to celebrate Juneteenth, it's the oldest public park in Texas.

✔ Free public gym with a weight room and cardio equipment, plus basketball and tennis courts; ages 18+ with valid photo ID

✔ Seasonal outdoor pool, May–September, roughly 1–7 PM

✔ Online registration required; no showers or lockers; closed Sundays. Check the park's website for current hours.

The apartments sit in Houston's historic Third Ward, near Texas Southern University and the University of Houston, with easy access to Downtown, Midtown, the Museum District, and the Texas Medical Center.

Getting Around:

A car or rideshare is the easiest way to get around. METRORail's Purple Line runs nearby toward Downtown, where you can transfer to the Red Line for the Museum District and NRG Park.

✔ Street parking on Blodgett may be available, subject to posted signage

✔ Backup: the TSU paid garage is one block away

✔ Texas Medical Center: 8–15 min

✔ NRG Stadium: 12–20 min

✔ Maximum 10 registered guests: 8 in four bedrooms, up to 2 on sofa beds by approval

✔ Sofa bed linens must be requested before arrival
