The person who checked me in was very nice and the room was fine, until it wasn’t. When I returned to the room at 10 pm the day after check in, there was a puddle of water in front of the mini fridge, and a cricket in the floor which I covered with a cup then headed to the front desk. After standing there for a few minutes I called out for someone. They came out, I explained the situation to which they replied that maintenance had already left so he would have to put me in another room. I asked if we could simply unplug the fridge and throw some towels down to clean up the water and he could just get rid of the cricket for me to which he replied that housekeeping had already left for the day, he would need to put me in another room. I asked why they would be needed and he said to mop up the water. I then said he could give me the towels, I will dry it up and if he could get the cricket out of the room, I would appreciate it. They were confused as to what a cricket was and no, he will have to switch rooms. I repeatedly told him I was checking out the next morning and that he was asking me to pack all my things to switch rooms at now 10:30pm when I was checking out in the morning. Completely unreasonable. Very poor customer service also at checkout after explaining to them. PLUS the property is being remodeled; there are supplies, materials, equipment, closed exit doors, and a green pool that I refused to get in. New management is needed at this location for sure.
