„We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. „As a flight crew we choose the hotel because of the good rating! And everything was as described! Nice people and good and clean rooms! The bed was cosy and comfortable. Especially the lady at the reception was fantastic! We asked for a late checkout and she did. everything to manage it. Of course we did get different rooms, but we could keep the rooms for free until 4:30pm the next day. This attitude is not always available in the hotel industry! Definitely we will come again “

„Ein sehr altes Hotel mit renovierten Zimmern. Man merkt dem Gebäude seine Historie an. Der Boden ist schief und in einem typisch altbritischen Stil gehalten. Das Frühstück war English OK. Direkt an der Promenade gelegen und nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß von der Innenstadt.“

„Great service! We have door card issues in 205. We think it is the mechanism on the door. The hotel is a 10 minute walk into town. Great dinner options in town: Vellika Indian restaurant and The Square (great seafood). Amazing sunrises at 4am too. Free and easy parking. Breakfast is included and it is OK. “
