I have stayed at this property before and was very surprised to find there was no desk clerk, when I went in to register. The remote video desk clerk was very hard to understand, my most used answer to a question was " Sorry can you repeat that, I couldn't understand you." This remote video desk clerk took close to three times longer to check me in, then the in person desk clerk the last time I stayed at the property. The remote video desk clerk had trouble getting me two room keys. When I reached my room, the keys did not work. I returned to the remote video desk clerk and requested a key that would work. The remote video desk clerk contacted his supervisor and some time; I was given two more keys. I returned to my room and again the keys did not work. I returned to remote video desk clerk and requested a different room and keys that worked. While I waited the remote video desk clerk again contacted his supervisor and after about fifteen minutes gave me a different room and a key. I went to the new room and again the key did not work. I returned to the remote video desk clerk and again requested a different room and a key that worked. Again, the process took about fifteen minutes and a consult with the supervisor. This time the key worked, and I was able to enter my room. I was not impressed nor happy with the remote video desk clerk. Having an in-person desk clerk is much easier and faster to deal with, then someone hundreds or thousands of miles away.
