Ganz ok.
Für ein billiges Hoitel im Stadtzentrum ganz ok. etwas verstörend ist es, dass man in 4 Tagen nicht einen einzige/n Angestellte/n sieht, was den ganzen Aufenthalt sehr unpersönlich macht. Zumindest zeitweise eine Rezeption zu besetzen würde den Aufenthalt massiv aufwerten. So bleibt man mit allen Fragen/Wünschen alleine.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und zentral in Helsinki gelegen, nah am Hauptbahnhof. Das Konzept von Omena Hotels enthält kein Service, kein Frühstück usw., aber wenn man das weiss, ist das kein Problem. Nur das Check-in ist etwas spät, erst um 16.00 Uhr. Dafür das Check-out um 12. 00 Uhr.

Nicht mein Hotel...Ich bezahle lieber etwas mehr und hab etwas besseres. Das Zimmer war sehr Basic und TV funktionierte nicht und da war echt null Service.

Hotel ohne Service und Handtücher
Sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben keine Handtücher auf dem Zimmer gehabt und der tv war nicht funktionsfähig. Die Rezeption kann man nur „anrufen“ im Haus ist keine. Leider ist dort über mehrere Stunden niemand erreichbar gewesen. Sauberkeit und des Zimmers und Komfort lassen sich zu wünschen übrig.

Good location
Good location near the bus station and close to shops, restaurants and bars. Room was comfortable and clean. There is no reception at the hotel (room number and entry key code are sent by email/SMS) hence no room service. Breakfast is served in a different building a short walk away

Zentral gelegenes, preiswertes Hotel
Die Zimmer sind geräumig und grösstenteils sauber (die Böden lassen manchmal zu wünschen übrig). Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist optimal, vor allem wenn man zu zweit oder mehr unterwegs ist. Allerdings ist es meistens auch für Alleinreisende eine gute, günstige Variante. Die Rezeption ist 24h über ein Telefon in der Lobby erreichbar und hilfsbereit.

Comfortable for a short stay in Helsinki downtown
The Omena Hotel Yrjonkatu is one of these reception-less outfits where you get a door and room code by mail before you arrive. The check-in process is therefore very easy and straightforward. My room was really ok, clean, and comfortable. By mistake I had booked a room for four people, and to be honest, that would have been really crowded. I was happy that I was alone ;-) Bathroom was ok and clean, WiFi worked perfectly. I did not try the breakfast (which was a few blocks away), but I never take breakfast, so I am not a good judge on that. The surroundings are perfect, right in the centre of Helsinki, steps away e.g. from the Stockmann department sore or the Kämppi bus station. Some points I did not like: - It is not possible to open the windows, so the air gets pretty stuffy, especially after a shower - I tried hard, but I did not manage to switch off the light in the bathroom. I looked for switch everywhere, no luck. - Biggest minus: With no front desk, there is no possibility to leave your bag after check-out before you leave town. This is really a big disadvantage. They could think about some code-operated lock boxes or similar.

Very good location and clean
We had a very satisfying stay at Omena, the room was very clean and facilities worked all good and without amy problems. The best about Omena I would definitely say was the location. In the center, surrounded by various bars and reataurants and the bus as well as the train station are only 5min walk away! For the price you get a lot and I can't complain a lot. Only let's say that there is no reception could be a minus but we never had need of it and in case there is a phone that connetcs you with a receptionist 24h.

The room was not cleaned. After calling the assistance, I have been informed that I can change to another hotel, but this was not possible because of the time. The service is very disappointing, I would never again choose a hotel without reception.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Das war perfekt. Für den Preis erhält man eine sehr gute Leistung. Das Zimmer war einfach aber zweckmässig. Es fehlt ein Kleiderschrank. Das ist ein Minuspunkt. Alles in allem aber tip top für den attraktiven Zimmerpreis.

Nice Hotel, very central
The hotel is at the city centre. The rooms are clean and the beds quite comfortable. The interior is getting a bit old, but everything (microwave, waterheater etc.) works. If there is a problem, you can call the reception at every hour with the phone located near the entrance. No staff is present at the hotel, except the cleaning staff during cleaning hours. Since it is close to mainstreets, the rooms looking out to the streets are sometimes a bit loud. Very uncomplicated. Price-perfomance ratio is balanced.

no luxury but well located
The hotel is well located in Helsinki, easy to find and there's no actual check in as you receive a code and your room number the day before you arrive. Yet it means that there is no possibility of early check in or late check out and not possibility to leave luggage anywhere either. To have breakfast, you have to walk 1 minute across the street, so maybe not the most conveninent ever. We booked a room for 4 but received a room for 2 with 2 folding beds (not even made) that were not comfortable at all. Otherwise it was clean. Not sure I'd recommend it or only imfor on est night, if you don't mind keeping your luggage with you when leaving.

Nice place to stay inn the center of city. No reception available... May have difficult checkin...if something goes wrong no one to approach.. Interior of the hotel very simple and neat. Clean.. Good to have a direct approachable number for help. We cant contact the helpline only once we will be able to getin. Otherwise no one to ask help if anything goes wrong with checkin

We have automated our booking processes so that there is no need for on site personnel accept for the cleaning staff and we do offer a 24/7 customer service phone line in case there are any questions of hiccups.
