I checked in late after a long drive from Western Utah. The price was reasonable and the night clerk was friendly and efficient.
The first problem arose when I use the bathroom and noted a used disposable diaper in the bathroom trash can.
The room appeared clean but when they miss collecting a dirty diaper from the previous occupant, you wonder what else didn't get cleaned properly.
My body clock was still in Pacific standard time so I overslept now being in Central standard Time territory.
While taking a shower, I heard this pounding at the door. After half a minute the pounding came again. This time much harder. That sounded more like police coming in to do a search warrant rather than someone just giving me a late checkout advisory.
I wrap myself in a towel and open the door. A middle-aged man yelled at me that it was pastime checkout and I needed to leave.
I returned to the bathroom, grabbed the trash can with the used diaper and pushed it out through the door into the hallway and dropped it at the man's feet. I told him the room apparently hadn't been cleaned properly but that I would be out of there as soon as I could.
I'm giving two stars because the night clerk seemed nice and the overall establishment appeared well kept if not a bit dated.
If that was the manager or owner of the hotel, his behavior was completely unacceptable.
We all have bad days but the bottom line is I will not be coming back to this location nor will I be frequenting Super 8 motels
