„Das Hotel ist zwar ganz nett, das Personal auch, aber leider auch total unflexibel...wir haben auf der gesamten Reise nirgendwo so ein schlechtes Frühstück bekommen wie dort...obwohl wir gesagt hatten, dass wir uns low carb ernähren und gerne nur Spiegeleier zum Frühstück hätten, wurde uns auf einem riesigen Teller ein Ei mit zwei dünnen Scheiben Schinken serviert, es wurde nicht gefragt und auch nicht mehr angeboten. Meine Schwester wollte ca. 30 Minuten vor der "Frühstückszeit" Abreisebedingt ...

„We notified Maypole Inn of our expected arrival time and Staff kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we were late arriving - Excellent evening meal and generous portions. Additionally, we were allowed to use the kitchen freezer overnight for our cool box. Rooms and bathroom were very clean and tidy although there was a patch of damp/dirt in the corner of the celling in the main room. „The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view.“

„We enjoyed many facets of our stay at the Lister Arms in early May. The sights and walks are stupendous--there are steep walks and near flat walks along the river and some through stone walled grass fields with lots of sheep. The food at the Lister was excellent and we had meals in the morning, midday and evening. Great selection of real ales. Very attentive and engaging staff. “
