We really enjoyed our stay ! The penthouse was clean and very well stocked. The view was fantastic, whales , turtles, and even a monk seal !!! The host always got back to us about any questions we had . We loved it there.

Didn't want to leave!
The condo was fabulous! The ocean views were breathtakingly gorgeous. Raj, was wonderful to work with as we were making the reservation as well as letting us know he was available to help if we needed anything after arriving ( which we didn’t). Everything in this 8th floor condo was high end. Raj had the kitchen well equipped for us that truly used the kitchen. The views from the lanai were glorious. We saw whale activity all day. We went to sleep listening to the ocean. It was truly a wonderful time. Mahalo, Raj, for allowing our family to stay in your condo. We made many memories that we will cherish.

Great time in Maui!
I stayed with four girlfriends at this condo for 5 nights, and it was great! Stunning views with lots of whale sightings and rainbows. The condo is extremely well-outfitted with everything you would need for a stay. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone. Would book again!

Perfect location
The condo was perfect for our family as we stayed for 12 nights in July. 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Everything listed in the description was exactly what we experienced. We loved watching the sea turtles from the balcony and being able to eat at the pool side restaurant. I know some of the reviews mentioned the elevator being slow, but we didn’t experience any issues with it. The check in process was one of the easiest we have ever experienced and we appreciated the email with all the details about the location and surrounding area we received a week before we arrived. Will stay here again next time we visit Hawaii for sure.

Remarkable view and right on a beautiful beach
We snorkeled at the beach right in front of the condo and saw over 15 sea turtles. Our 3 year old grandson loved the small waves and clean sand. We would stay here again. Great time.

Great place to stay. Condo could use some updates, however was very clean and taken care of. Sands of Khana resort is a bit dated and the beach is ok; but the location is perfect for all of west maui beaches, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

A week in paradise!
What an amazing week! The condo was perfect for our entire family ranging in ages from 11 to 73. The condo is not only beautiful it is located in the perfect location in Maui. There is a great bar and grill on the property that was perfect for not only lunch and dinner but was great for a beer after a beautiful day in the sun. The beach at the condo was perfect for swimming with the turtles which we did daily. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. The host Raj was very accommodating and responsive. Perfect condo, perfect beach, perfect vacation. Hope to stay there again!

Great views but property is tired.
The expansive ocean views from our unit and location would be difficult to beat. The unit itself was spacious and in good condition and well stocked. The are a few items to note: there are no operable windows in the entire unit, so you have to rely on opening patio doors for any outdoor ventilation. The door upstairs was broken during the entire stay and. It was stuffy and had to rely on ac and a fan., disappointing when it is perfect outside. Also bunk beds upstairs are shorter than normal so not really made for adults. The Sands itself is old, outdated and tired. The fitness center ia filthy and has broken and sparse equipment. The pool, chairs. Etc have all seen better days.

MAUI SPECTACULAR
This condo comes as advertised. Beautiful in every respect. For those who love to cook, the kitchen was very well stocked, from spices, dishware, cutlery, pots and pans storage containers, everything you need. The location was excellent with restaurants and grocery stores relatively close by. Our four grandchildren loved both pools which were well maintained. We had a spectacular view of the ocean and other islands and saw whales and turtles every day which had us all quite excited. All in all, a great holiday and one we would like to do again some-day.

Great family reunion spot in an ideal location with room to relax.
I stayed at the property with my own family, older parents, and sister in early November. The property offers good amenities, all the needed essentials for cooking, beach days, and early morning coffee on the patios. We enjoyed the beach and pools onsite as well as exploring the area. EXCELLENT!
This property is perfect - the resort and location are ideal for all ages and interests. It’s older but clean with Hawaii vibe. The unit is very well-equipped- Spices, kitchen necessities, beach toys, baby gear (high chair, pack and play, etc.) The poolside bar and grill is great for all meals and happy hour. No complaints at all! Would definitely rent again!

Overall great stay!
This condo is absolutely beautiful. Being on the top floor, it has large skylights. These were fairly loud at night, popping and creaking from the wind, making it hard to sleep many nights despite a sound machine we brought from home. The master bed on the main floor opens to the living room with a large sliding wall to close it off. The only way onto the lanai is through the master bedroom, which is a little awkward for the others staying at the property (in our case, my MIL). The upstairs is open to below with a king bed and two twin beds. My kids stayed up there, but if, for example, two families went, the one staying upstairs wouldn't have a lot of privacy. The property itself is dated but this unit is updated and, as I said, gorgeous. Our biggest complaint is the elevator. There is only one and it was soooooo slow (and small, so it was often full when it stopped to pick us up). We ran into a man who worked there who said our building (building 2) has the fastest elevator on the property...yikes! We often waited over 5 minutes for the elevator, and with the condo on the 8th floor, we werenttoo keen on taking the stairs that often. We did have a couple of small issues. As asked of us, I emailed the property owner when we left (it was more of a heads up and not things we felt needed to be addressed while we were there). That was Friday, April 8, and as of today, April 19, I haven't received a response. I don't think you'll regret staying here. My kids enjoyed the beach, and we had a great time overall!

Beautiful home! Gracious host!
We very much enjoyed our stay. Raj sent us a list of helpful guides and we went with many of his suggestions. Home looks even better in person. We were pleasantly surprised. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the spices and seasonings we need. The sunset view from the balcony is spectacular. We saw turtles and whales from our balcony! Best part is Napili Beach, Kapalua Bay Beach and Coastal Trail (3 of our favorites) is minutes away. Thanks, Raj, for being such a gracious host! We definitely will be back.

Perfect and something for everyone
This unit was well equipped for 1-80 year olds. The property was excellent clean and quiet. The Beach Bar and grill was awesome, a little lite on the alcohol during happy hour, but food was fast and service was excellent. Beware and i will post on yelp, they auto apply tips for guest 5 or bigger, but do not tell you in hopes you won’t notice. Cost me a lot of money when I learned the lesson. As for the unit, you don’t need the Beach Bar and grill when you can cook anything you want right there. The grills downstairs and Immaculate. More cooking equipment than most restaurants. The rooms and spaces were perfect for our 6 guest and could have been more. Raj is the perfect host and quick to solve any problem. We had none. Watch the whales from the balcony all day. Winter months Dec-March. Hard to see the sunset, but perfect I guess the rest of the year, as it is not visible from the balcony. Pool is clean and inviting. No need to plan a head all the tours change the schedules anyway and screw you up. Book when you get there and Visit Front Street. Young single adults, visit the beaches behind Whalers village.

We just got back from our trip to Maui. This condo was perfect for 6 adults and one child. Actually it would have been perfect for 2-3 additional children. All was fully stocked and easy to use. Beautiful views! Great beach.
This condo was perfect for our large group of 10 people. The views are stunning and having a table and chairs on the balcony was perfect for meals and morning coffee- although the chairs are not very comfortable for relaxing outside for any longer length of time, they’re fine to sit and eat a meal on. The beach here is great and with soft sand, we always wore water shoes because there are a lot of sea urchins in the water a little ways out and we didn’t want to get hurt. We had many sea turtles swim right up to us and saw many whales from our balcony. It is on the 8th floor, so keep that in mind, we had the elevator go out two times during our week stay (there were many storms and flash flooding during the week we visited) and we were required to use the stairs. Also, the mattresses in both main floor bedrooms need replacing. They were not good. But usable- we did have sore backs. The stools in the kitchen are very uncomfortable. They should be thrown out. We could not sit on them at all. There are a lot of cooking supplies and a great kitchen for cooking. Barbecues available on the property also. We picked up coffee grounds and had coffee on the balcony every morning. We stopped at Costco and did the bulk of our shopping, the stores closer to the condo are a little more pricey, but good for things we forgot from Costco. This condo was amazing, this was our third trip to Maui in 3 years and this is our favorite place to stay by far. We will be renting here again.

Amazing views and perfect condo
We had a great time at Sands of Kahana. David was a great host and easy to get in touch with. Everything we needed and more. The main lanai is the best part, it is shaded almost all day so we spent a lot of time there watching whales, relaxing, eating. The other lanai’s were not used other than to dry our clothes! The kitchen is huge and the bathrooms were nice. If you have little kids, I’d recommend bringing a couple plastic plates. Lots of extra towels and bedding too. We loved having laundry in unit and lots of toys In the storage to play in the sand. The pools and restaurant were great. We rented paddle boards right there on site and it made it super convenient and the prices were very reasonable. We all said we’d stay here again next time we are in Maui. Thanks David!

Enjoyed our stay at this condo in Kahana. Lots of room with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Spent lots of time on the beach and at the pool. Appreciated the beach toys supplied. Great views from the lanai. Close to our favorite restaurants in Lahaina. Washing machine made a bit of racket so don’t run it at bedtime. Air conditioning unit in master bedroom spit ice chunks a couple of times. Not sure what’s up with that. But definitely a nice place and we would stay there again.

Wonderful condo, Wonderful stay!!
Our family enjoyed staying at this property! It was spotless, had plenty of towels for everyone (including beach towels!), and the kitchen was well equipped. We especially enjoyed the storage closet containing everything you could possibly need for the beach; boogie boards, coolers, umbrellas, snorkel sets, sand toys, ect. The condo is in close proximity to some of the best West side beaches on Maui and we also enjoyed being able to swim right outside the condo. No driving necessary! We also made good use of the pool, putting green, tennis courts, and BBQ grills. This is a great, CLEAN property in a great location. 10/10 Would totally recommend!

Beautiful view
Immediately you will notice a stunning view that would be hard to beat. The place is clean and updated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and toys for the beach. David responses quickly to any questions. The reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is the air conditioner in the family room and master bedroom (didn’t have a problem with the other two) couldn’t keep up with how hot it was. It was apparently abnormally hot (90 degrees) and we couldn’t keep those two air conditioners on for very long without issues. One leaks water and the other starts making a cracking sound. We followed all instructions of not lowering the temp lower then 74 and turned them all off when we left but ended up with some hot nights and struggled sleeping in the Master without it in. There are not screens in the windows in the family room so we quickly learned we couldn’t open those without bugs flying in. Also with the Master having a sliding door for a wall and another bedroom being a loft it’s not the best arrangements if you have a baby with you waking up early and can’t stay quiet because you will hear all the noise in two of the three bedrooms. If you don’t have little ones and it’s not high of 90 then it’s a great place!

Since April of this year Maui has endured record heat waves with all time high temperatures reached every week. The airport hit 97 degrees last week, the highest temperature ever recorded on Maui. My A/C technician is telling me most condos on Maui this summer can't keep up with the heat waves and the high humidity of the tropics which causes A/C systems to have higher condensation. My A/C system is only two years old and is maintained constantly by my handyman and A/C technician. As far as a baby making noise I can't control that and that is up to the guests to handle.

Amazing
The property surpassed our expectations! What an awesome trip! Morning coffee on the lanai watching the turtles play in the water and evening wine watching the sunsets were some highlights of the trip. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. The trade winds provide a great breeze everyday to cool off the place. Our family enjoyed exploring the island and returning to condo each night. I would highly recommend the property.

Spectacular find for our family vacation
We recently had a 1 week stay with our family of 4, a family of 3, and another adult. This condo was the perfect set up for ALL of us to stay comfortably. The location was superb! Pictures are accurate, although more beautiful in person! The condo is equipped with everything you need to cook family dinners in. Grocery stores near by, restaurants a short drive make it possible for any plans you might have. The condominium property includes a delicious bar and grill, 2 pools with one being for smaller children, and a rental area for beach supplies. The beach area was great for playing in the sand, wading in the water, and snorkeling watching the sea turtles swim by throughout the day. I seriously cannot say enough about this find. The price was right on. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. Definitely look forward to coming back for future vacations!

Beautiful Views, Wonderful Time
Our family spent a week at this beautiful property. The area is nice. Walking distance to Maui Brewing Co. and a short driving distance to shopping and groceries. The child pool was perfect for the 3 year old. The ocean is just downstairs and you can take a leisurely stroll anytime. Plenty of BBQ's on the property. The unit itself is roomy. There was a nice breeze to keep us cool so we didnt really need to use the AC. Washer and dryer worked well so we didnt really need to worry about packing heavy. We used the kitchen a lot and made dinners which made it feel like home. There is a storage room with a large cooler, water toys, sand toys, body boards, etc. So just show up and have fun. Trip of a lifetime!
My family and I had such an amazing trip to Maui, and staying in this beautiful condo was definitely the highlight. First off there we 10 of us (6 adults, 2 young kids, and 2 infants). The condo is huge! There was more than enough room to accommodate everyone comfortably. Each of us had our own room, bathroom and lanai! The loft upstairs also has the bunkbeds which worked out great for the two younger kids. We loved to spend our mornings drinking coffee and eating breakfast off the master bedroom lanai. From here we watched the whales play which was amazing! We usually cooked breakfast in the condo, which has a beautiful kitchen that has everything you will need to make some meals. We also used the grills located on the resort which were handy. The condo was furnished with all new appliances as well, which was nice because everything worked wonderfully. The AC worked very good as well, but wasn’t needed all that much due to the wonderful light Hawaiian breeze you can get by cracking a window or door. Staying literally on the oceanfront was great. An elevator ride and a very short walk and you are on the beach. The condo also has a storage closet that was packed with all the beach gear you could ever need. Boogie boards, snorkels, sand toys, floaties, cooler, and the list goes on. When the kids got tired we didn’t have to load up cars and drive anywhere, just another short walk and elevator ride and we were back in the comfort of the condo. We also enjoyed both pools and hot tubs located on the resort property. The owner was great to deal with. We had a few minor issues (mostly operator error on our end) and he was very quick to respond and help. He is a true professional that takes pride in his property. We gave this condo five stars because it was such a beautiful place, so accommodating, and felt like a home away from home in paradise! Hope we can visit again soon. Mahalo!

Spacious condo with spectacular views
There were 8 of us (5 adults, 3 teenagers, ages 13-17) and we found this condo very accommodating with plenty of space. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own private bath & TV, which was nice. Our only complaint was that the dining room chairs & 2 of the 4 chairs in the living room were uncomfortable. We also appreciated all of the information & tips shared by the owner (via email) multiple times before arrival. We had perfect weather and hated to leave! It felt like home away from home.

Condo was beautiful and impressive!
My family absolutely loved this condo! It was very clean, spacious, and offered fantastic views! Although I don’t like to cook while on vacation, this gorgeous kitchen made me want to cook even while vacationing! I was sad to leave this condo!! The only negative was with the property’s elevators/obviously beyond David’s control... a new elevator that was shut down every time it rained a little- not feasible to repeatedly have to climb 8 floors to go anywhere. Hopefully the property gets the elevator situation resolved as that was one of the main negative reviews posted when researching this property. Hope to visit again!!!
