Perfect Spot for our Family to Enjoy the Beach and Each Other
Just what the pictures show! The view through the open doors was amazing. We constantly watched for whales, watched the clouds play on Moloka'i's peaks, watched the brilliant sunsets, and tried to count the stars. Just like the photos show, every room has an ocean view...my daughter laughed when she told us she could watch whales from her upstairs toilet! The place was immaculate! The furnishings were comfortable and added to the Hawaii vibe. The colors of the tiles in the bathrooms created a special tropical flavor to the house. It was wonderful to have a bathroom for each bedroom. We didn't use the outdoor shower very much because everyone took advantage of the outside garden house by the steps. It was wonderful to have the slate floor so we didn't have to worry about water or sand ruining the floor. The younger members of our family loved and utilized the beach. (I suggest renting your snorkel gear right away.) They reported finding the most amazing fish near the rocks by the stairs. They also enjoyed using the boogie boards and tried out the paddle board. Nice to have these extra toys on hand. A word of caution about beach access...I am 72 and wasn't able to access the beach by the recommended steps. However, I could walk along the road a short distance, and reach the beach by the public access areas just north of the property. The host was friendly and easy to get hold of. Directions were spot on. We are already dreaming of heading back! Aloha!

The home and property were beautiful and well maintained. The location and stretch of private beach were amazing. It was a perfect fit for our group of 2 families with kids 9 yo and up. We saw lots of wildlife right from the home (whales, dolphin, turtles, and even a seal) and enjoyed the Hawaiian sunset each night. Daniel the house manager was very welcoming and the communication was excellent. We will definitely consider coming back.

Perfect Location
This was an ideal property for our family get-together! Very spacious and this was the best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. We lacked for nothing and the gift basket was appreciated and well used. The location was handy to other beaches, stores, restaurants and playgrounds. Walking or short drives. From the patio we enjoyed whale watching and visits from seals and turtles right below us. Fun for all!

The property is beautiful, right at the water. There were eight of us and each bedroom had a bathroom plus there were outside showers. Lanai was spectacular, loved the window opening to the outside. Outdoor boogie and paddleboards were provided. Beach chairs, coolers too. Too bad we werent able to stay our entire time because of the Lahaina fire but sure enjoyed our time there.

Great Family Vacation
Loved our stay. The property is clean, has easy check-in, and is in a great location. When we arrived, we enjoyed having our own private area. I was slightly skeptical due to some of the reviews about the house. In my opinion, the pictures do not do it justice. It was more spacious than I anticipated, clean, and ready for use. This property provided all you will need for your stay as stated on the site. While there are comments about the locals treating the beach as their own private area, we found that they were friendly and even helped my young adult daughters with carrying their kayaks to the beach. We got to see turtles, crabs, eels, sunsets, and rainbows during our stay. We had loads of fun with the water toys provided. Yes, there are stairs. We traveled with our 74 & 79 year old mothers' and they stayed in the bedrooms downstairs that are very spacious. Property managers Kendra & Daniel were great hosts and ensured to check in with us. Made great memories and would love to return!

Beautiful location and house
The house and property were gorgeous with plenty of space for our group of eight to spread out, and tons of fun activities to take part in (paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, etc.) The owner has provided a lot of things you might need - from kitchenware to toiletries. The sunsets from this property are magical and my favorite part was watching sea turtles from the hammock. A few things that might be helpful for other renters: 1. The switch for the roll-up door that opens the house to the ocean was broken. The door was stuck and took some cranking to open manually. 2. Two large bedrooms on the ground floor - one w/attached bathroom. The door that separates the bedroom from the living room is broken and the second doorway doesn't have a door - no privacy. 3. Quite a few stairs to the second floor - keep in mind if traveling with elderly. 4. Two sets of stairs to the ocean from the property. One set is pretty much unusable from a safety standpoint. The other set of stairs is usable (very carefully) for a few hours during the day. 5. Two beds on the bottom floor had extremely soft, marshmallow-like mattresses. 6. The neighbors treat the adjoining beach like their own personal, private property. We didn't use it very much, as a result. Boats parked in the shallows, the entire time we were there. 7. There is a small beach down the road that is easy to walk to, and great for wading and swimming. Overall, beautiful house, that is starting to show its age.

Perfect for the whole family
The property manager made it very easy to check in and was in constant communication to ensure we had everything we need and that we were enjoying our stay. The location on the water was perfect for our kids and the rooms were very comfortable. Everything was perfect. The only warning I would have for prospective renters is that the rooms let in a ton of light, so if you need a dark room to sleep in, prepare to wake up early. Didn’t cause any problems for us, but it gets light early and that means the kids were up early. Still, it was an amazing trip and I would 100% recommend it. I hope to stay here again soon.

We had eight adults the house was perfect with lots of room. Just like the pictures show even more Beautifull in person, we loved the sunsets over the ocean. The beach is very privet wake up early to see the Turtles return to the water. The location of the house was good for getting out and doing everything we wanted to do. The water was calm enough you could go out and play, it was not as rough as other beaches. We enjoyed it so much we've been talking about going back. It was perfect for us. The Robinson Family

The home is better than the pictures!
The home was better than we expected and while the pictures in the listing are great, the house is even better than the pictures. We found the home to be extremely well suited for our group of seven people. It was extremely clean and well equipped. The property is incredibly private and it is like having an entire private beach to yourself. The property "feels" like authentic Hawaii. The hosts were very responsive with communications and made our stay very easy.

Ideal group vacation rental
It was perfect. All the bedrooms have their own bath (plus one extra bed downstairs that can have private use of the HUGE shower off the kitchen), so great for an all-grownups getaway. But the view. And the water access. The big open kitchen and the garage-door window/wall that opens to the ocean. Rainbow after rainbow in the sky over the sea. Big nice TV we didn’t use. Daniel and Kendra were incredibly thoughtful and attentive hosts. Clearly a lot of care has gone into making this a clean, comfortable, and well stocked place to stay. We’re so glad we didn’t do a resort. A million stars.

Great house right on the beach!
The location of this house is unbeatable! We watched whales from the living room every day and our kids loved swimming and playing in the sand at the beach right outside. The bay is calm and the little beach gets nice shade. The house is very spacious with lots of room for the whole family or all your friends. We had 5 adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and there are lots of extras like kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, and beach chairs. Anything the house was missing the property manager was able to get to us during our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Family Vacation
My family visited Maui and stayed at this property. It was great to all have our own space and have the paddle boards and kayaks to use for the east beach access. The property is beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the outdoors and being on the water, we even saw some whales and turtles swimming through the area. This house definitely fit all of our needs!

BOOK. THIS. PLACE.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. To start, the property itself is amazing and very fun to be in. Breathtaking views 24/7. We experienced many whale sightings right off the back of the house! Our stay was from January 9th-19th for reference. Mornings on the hammock or in the two tall chairs, whale watching, is really something. We saw countless amount of turtles, enjoyed water fun with the provided equipment, and had very memorable moments with the bicycles. If you love to fish, you’re gonna have a blast doing it right off the back! We bought poles and gear at a nearby shop and really had some of the best times. It’s very private, so getting to swim in a large area and enjoy only each other’s company was awesome. The home is very unique, with lots of room for everyone. We had 8 guests staying overnight, and more coming to hang during the day. Nobody ever felt cramped and it felt like home. This is a very unique experience for anyone looking to stray from hotels and such. This place is particularly very special as it’s right along the water. Worth every penny. The property management team went above and beyond in terms of communication, from start to finish. Daniel and Kendra were very friendly, detailed and helpful. Even so with the mishaps we had (our faults), they handled everything quickly, with a sense of grace. I can’t recommend this property more for a great experience while visiting the island.

Amazing sunsets
We stayed here for a family vacation and it was great. Amazing sunsets from the back patio and sea turtles in the bay every day. There were boogie boards and paddle boards provided which we used in the bay. Steps down to the beach are slippery and it was difficult for my parents to get done to the beach but the other adults and kids were able to get down without to much trouble. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels and bedding. Overall a great place for our family to relax and enjoy our time together.

Maui Vacation
It is a beautiful beach front property. But the house has aged past its prime and needs work. I reached out to open a bathroom window and the handle dropped off. Ants invaded the stove counter day 1 before we cooked anything. The ocean facing glass wall did not open when button pushed had to crank it. The kitchen lacked a full suite of utensils. The provided towels were rags that I would not wash my car with. Management sent an email telling us to clean up practically everything, practically nagging. For the cost I expected more but got less.

Wow seeing as you trashed the house I wouldn’t expect anything less In your review. Broken lamps, stains on the beds and furniture, damage to dining table, broken plates and cups, the list goes on. Really sad that people treat others home like the way you did. Not to mention you didn’t even stay at the home and let your guests trash it. Thankfully you had insurance and we are able to recoup some of the damage you left. Vrbo has been notified of your excessive damage and problems

Once in a lifetime destination!
From the moment the gate opened, this beautiful home exceeded all of our hopes and Hawaiian dreams. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are spotless, charming and spacious with ACs and views that will leave you breathless, the lanais welcome you to relax and enjoy. But beyond all of that - the ocean is the star of this house. With paddle boards, kayaks, water toys for everyone - and a steep/slippery but manageable water entry just outside - this house is designed for those who love the ocean and want to jump in the morning the sun rises. We swam with the bays turtles everyday - the kids loved the snorkelling and paddle boards and exploring the nearby rock formations. We could easily watch the kids in the water from the open concept great room/lanai. This place is a memory maker for all who want avoid the resorts, breathe in a full Hawaiian experience, and relax with the ocean. For anyone debating the cost - we found it a bargain for a family of 7. There was none of the typical hassle to get everyone organised and get out to the breach before all the parking was taken - the water is just outside your window! The water toys would have cost a lot to rent - and the ease of letting everyone do as they pleased while still under our watchful eye on this immaculate bay was priceless. The price is more than appropriately discounted for the more traditional style of the house (some private but doorless bathrooms that you quickly get used to) but having this much space and variety of spaces to enjoy is incredible. We were all able to enjoy our time individually and to come together as a family. It was a truly priceless vacation.

Privacy abounds
Our family stayed here to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. Once the gate closed behind us, it felt as if we were in a magical world of our own! From the furniture to the tile work, this house is full of island charm and we appreciated the luxury of each bedroom having its own en suite bathroom. The indoor/outdoor living and the large dining table on the main floor worked perfectly for our party of 8. Options for beach access include stairs from the yard and an easy trail adjacent to the property. The hammock and nearby lifeguard chairs overlooking the beach were perfect for those wanting to watch beach play without heading down to the water. Beach toys, bicycles, coolers and lawn chairs were all available for use and contact with the property manager was excellent. This house is a perfect home base for exploring West Maui and our family made many precious memories here. Highly recommended!

Comfortable beachfront house
Old beach house but very spacious, comfortable for a large family, clean and safe. We are a family of 5 with two teenagers. It could have accommodated a set of grandparents comfortably as well. Close to many great restaurants and grocery stores. Beach access is by rock steps that during high tide is affected by water/waves. A couple of times we walked down the street to the end of the property to access the beach through the public access. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayaks and body boards included. One thing to note was the lack of blinds in the master and the early morning stray roosters calls. It didn't bother me, but it did bother my husband...he had to move to a different bedroom. We would stay again if we go back to this area and island.

Far exceeded expectations
Such a beautiful property with our own private beach. House is so comfortable and designed so well to take full advantage of the view and the weather. And we appreciated the kayaks/ beach chairs/towels /etc. everything we needed. My one comment to the property owner would be that they need an additional set of eating utensils. ( only 7 forks ). Otherwise kitchen and baths were well stocked with everything we needed. Thank you so much!!’ We hope to come back.

very cool place. horrible weather
we checked in after finishing Xterra World championships up the road for a few days of relaxation . The weather was horrendous but the plastic and railings wall that lifts, stayed water tight although the chairs and cushions outdoors were soaked for days.. beach access is quite difficult as the stairs down to the water are extremely slippery and two of us fell. the kitchen is spacious, but a bit odd with two electric burners for a house that sleeps 14- and was partially broken when we checked in. We got the impression the house was in some kind of transition because the closets were jammed with piles and piles of bedding , towels and cleaning supplies. There was no information booklet on the place, but we managed to figure things out. Despite these things and the weather, we had a good time. The house is in an incredible location and is furnished with vintage Hawaiian furniture Ate in every night and went for coffee at close by coffee shops.

Unbelievable
The location is ideal! Waves splashing into the lanai, with a built in panorama view of Molokai! Space was perfect for our party of 10, a sea turtle greeted us, and rainbows every few minutes. Convenient to food and drink, but we never ate out because we had the best venue!!!

Beautiful location
This house was perfect for our week stay in Maui. We loved having the house right on the water, the waves are so nice to listen to. There wasn't much of a beach, but we did swim and snorkel right behind the house. We loved the location in proximity to the things we did. We would definitely go back.

Four couples had a great time here...didn't want to leave the house! We saw multiple whales from the backyard...even saw a turtle!! House layout is open and friends could get together easily or find their own separate space.

Heaven on earth!
Absolutely perfect place to stay in Maui! Our jaws dropped when the gate opened to the property and we saw the beautiful garden and hammock opening up directly to the ocean with Whales splashing in our backyard! Every part of the house has a spectacular view of the ocean! We’ll be back!!!

Beautiful Home, Great Location
We had a wonderful time in this home over the holidays. It is right on the water, as depicted. I will miss falling asleep and waking to the sound of waves outside. We hosted a large family dinner for Christmas, and it fit everyone nicely, with room to spare. The double oven was a plus! The home is a little older, and a little quirky, but don't let that deter you! The spaciousness and location more than make up for it. Our only complaint would be that the internet is weak in most places in the house. There was no signal in any of the bedrooms. A wifi extender would be a simple fix for that.

Amazing Bungalow Style House on the Water with Amazing Views and Lots of Character!!
My family and I had an amazing week staying at this property! The place is very cool with nice era appropriate furniture and decor that make for a very unique and memorable experience. The listing was accurate and all the amenities you would need at a vacation home were included. The views are amazing and the waves at high tide would splash up into the patio area and sometimes even in the main living area. This was a ton of fun for the kids! Definitely need to watch the little ones in the yard though because there are a few gates and steps that lead right down into rocky ocean shores. So just need to be aware of that. The rooms range from a few very large masters to a few smaller ones that are functional just not as big. All rooms have separate AC units that worked well. Our only complaint was a few of the appliances could use some TLC. The built-in microwave and oven warmer were not working but a backup microwave was setup - so not a big deal. The fridge did not get very cold and the freezer was not cold enough for certain things like ice cream. Overall, everything was great and we highly recommend this place and would stay here again!
