Havelock North Motor Lodge is probably the best hotel of our current trip around New Zealand Great location , well furnished with everything you might need in a kitchen ( including scissors to open the pesky plasticized coffee sachets !) Best shower we have used so far/heat pump and Tv great too Parking and walkability to local restaurants was also a bonus Aaron and his wife run a great motel Highly recommended for Havelock North accommodation

Booking was easy and contact made earlier as we were travelling advising room was ready and could be accessed earlier than expected if need be. Rooms were clean and all facilities functioned well. Water pressure great and plenty of hot water. Doors on cabinetry showing signs of age (sagging) but all functional. Would be happy to rebook if required in future. Arrived home after dark to find no park available close to ground level room. Numbered allocated parking for each room available would help. Breakfast inhouse not used as so many dining options available across the street and in surrounding streets. Shopping and dining options very handy.

Hi Kahutia, thank you for your feedback. We won't ever number the parks as we want people to have flexibility, numbered parks create many issues, we are lucky enough to have more parks than rooms so parking is never an issue.

I was particularly impressed with the service provided at Havelock North Motor Lodge. It was better then at some 5 stars hotels. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Super handy location. Highly recommend

The room was very large with everything you would need. Nice modern furnishing. Great location in the centre of town with on site parking. Check in and out was super quick and easy with friendly staff.

We had the Manager ring us the morning we checked in to see what time we’d arrive and then pre-checked us in over the phone so we just needed to go straight to our room. We really appreciated that. The room was large and roomy but looked a little tired inside - although was clean. We enjoyed being walking distance to restaurants and cafes for eating out although we had a microwave in the room if we’d decided to eat in. I would stay there again.

Havelock Motor Lodge is our go-to place to stay when we are over that way. The owners are very accommodating, it's extremely close to walk to restaurants, bars & shopping. Extremely clean and tidy.

Parking was limited weren't sure which was our park, went out and when we came back someone else was in the space that we thought was ours. Maybe put unit numbers on parks?

Thank you for your feedback. We have 14 units and 17 carparks, so I find it strange you couldn't find a park. Parks are not assigned to units to avoid people thinking they have a set parking space.

The place and staff there were great, rooms were so nice and we enjoyed our stay there. Apart from the noisey cars and stuff outside and most of the shops being closed for the holidays it was a very nice stay there.

It was very well situated, and clean, but it was hard to sleep with the humming sound going off and on all night, plus there was a light outside that made it bright inside (need to take an eye mask) probable needs blackout curtains or blinds.
