A Quiet getaway
A beautiful view spent hours watching the waves go grate sun rise the host meet use at arrival and very nice and friendly the cottage was nice and had everything we needed to make a couple of small breakfast's, it took a little work it reminded us of camping in high end camper on the ocean front so it’s not for those who want to be pampered we enjoyed our stay very much and will do it again if we return

Place is awesome fishing recommendation.
I mean it's on the coast in Hawaii! can catch bonefish right out your back door. Location is great, place is clean and exactly as described. Host is helpful but not intrusive and super cool. I highly recommend Boom Boom sport fishing. Caught marlin, tuna, mahi mahi and captain was great.

Great location and friendly host. Pics in listing do match exactly. There was no Kurig Coffee machine, Fire extinguisher, first aid kit, kayak, sandy beach, window screens. No kitchen, just a room with a refrigerator, table, shelves and other pieces of furniture. Plenty of pots and pans but nothing to cook on. Laundry equipment out of order. General condition of property structure was needing paint on garage doors and balcony. Great place/host but over-priced based on condition.

Great Ocean View
The view was awesome in this VRBO. Was easy to find and get into at check in. Unit is quaint and quiet. Cooking anything was pretty Much non existent unless you used their microwave or their electric skillet. Lots of pots and pans but nothing to use them on. Food trucks up the road were a life saver. Turtle Bay resort up the road also a must. Loved the place otherwise and would come back again.

Older home, wonderful location
We enjoyed very much our stay. Being right on the ocean with a deck and view was wonderful. Amazing sunrises. The home is adequate. A few strange things like the kitchen sink not in the kitchen and quite a few cooking pans but no way to cook. Not even a hotplate. There is an electric skillet. Fu sized refrigerator was nice. The home is a short druve to the Polynesian Cultural Center where we enjoyed a wonderful time.

Upon arriving we were greeted by the owner. She was awesome! The house small and quaint, views spectacular. Lack of kitchen cookware does put limits on meals, if you are planning on staying in. Fridge is now full size! House was clean, deck was small but offered AMAZING views and sounds... double glass sliding doors open to allow the ocean in. PERFECT for a couple who want to unwind! 30 mins to Waimea Bay and Hale'iwa, which are must visits!

Reviews, Expectation & Experience Didn't Match
No one can dispute the amazing view! Immediately after booking, we received no communication from the owner till the night before check-in. In other VRBO rentals, we’ve received information a few days to a week before arrival, which settles some nerves when traveling long distances for a rental. With that said, check-in was simple, and the instructions were clear. Zero problems, however we did notice a few things had changed in the living area compared to the posted photos, such as the layout of the living room, furniture pictured, and the wall of windows became a slider. Strangely, what I’m sure was meant as upgrades felt like downgrades to us. We were a little surprised by the changes and how they make the space feel claustrophobic. The space in the bedroom is quite tight; there is a portable A/C unit in the room now which we didn’t use because there was a strong wind blowing while we were in town. The two primary concerns was the lack of a single smoke detector – all of them had been removed. We had distinct concern that the electric could be easily overloaded as there were very few outlets. One wasn’t even attached to the wall. Definitely a hazard if you brought a child. There was no fire extinguisher, which was a concern given the electric and the fact that there is another VRBO downstairs. We noticed that under the bed were dozens of packages of tiles and they were covered in spider webs, the extra deep window sills were dusty and very worn looking. There were sugar ants all around the kitchen sink. Mold was growing on various soft surfaces, the bedding was very musty smelling and would have been unusable if we hadn’t been able to sleep with the slider door open and had a strong breeze. Due to these concerns, despite the absolutely magnificent view, we did decide to leave after the first night and stay at another location on the north shore that was a similar cost, paying for two locations for two nights. I immediately messaged the owner through the VRBO app. The next day, after not hearing back, I sent a text to make sure they were aware we left. Three weeks later, I have never heard from the owner. I was refunded my deposit, but nothing for the 2 nights. Of course, the cancellation policy states no refunds less than 60 days out so I wasn't surprised, but had been hopeful. A note about the area. The next town over is basically owned by BYU-be aware it is a dry town, that closes on Sunday. Even the beach! BYOB

Love this apartment! Came here to get away and have some peace and quiet and this I exactly what I got. View is amazing, food trucks and grocery stores within 5-10 minute drive. Anastasia was very responsive when I had questions and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location, gorgeous view
It has an ideal location if you want sunrises and easy access to Laie and beyond. The kitchen layout is very strange. Hot plate, sink and dishes on one side of the house, kitchen table, coffee bar, fridge and utensils on the opposite side. It's not immaculate by any stretch but certainly manageable and the hosts are great.

Perfect place for honeymoon
We had an excellent time at this place. The view of the ocean from the deck was absolutely stunning. The owners were very helpful and even gave us suggestions for things to do. Will be happy to rent this property again.

Tranquil peaceful and very very friendly host.
The place was awesome being right on the water. The deck is exactly what we wanted. No real beach but viewing the waves and sunrise was enough for us. Kitchen layout is pretty funky so I wouldn’t plan on doing much cooking but everything was perfect. No complaints. The area is quite sleepy, I wouldn’t plan on doing much nightlife activities without driving up to sunset beach area which was very easy. Stacy is awesome and this place fit nicely for what we’re looking for. Thanks Stacy.

Anniversary stay
We celebrated our 40th anniversary and enjoyed staying here. We had excellent recommendations from our host on places to eat, beaches and hikes in the area. It was such a wonderful place to just relax. And the sunrises were spectacular on our balcony! The only thing lacking was there was only one washcloth and no kitchen towels. Quiet visit to the north shore

Doesn't get any better than this!
We will be raving about this beautiful home for years. We barely wanted to leave, listening to the waves and feeling those trade winds were absolutely heavenly. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was a lovely way to start the day. Food trucks and grocery store are just a few minutes away. You can get to the North Shore in about 15 mins, and then return to your quiet oasis for R&R. The chairs on the balcony need replaced, but the owner is aware. Everything else was in good working order. The fridge is indeed full size, despite what the picture shows. One of the things i really loved was all of the storage - you do not have to live out of a suitcase. Mahalo Stacie & Michael!

Wonderful place right on the Ocean. Stayed for 3 nights before heading to Honolulu for a conference. Some of the decor and upkeep is a bit dated and worn, but this is clear from the provided photographs so you should know what you are getting. Loved the secluded location, and it was great to have snorkel equipment provided so we did not have to rent.

Beautiful sunrise!!!
My wife and I debated between staying at the Marriott or staying at this property. As you can see in the photos, this is an older home and we knew it would not have the newness or the amenities of the Marriott. However, we chose this property and will be forever grateful for our decision. Even though you can see how close the ocean is in the pictures they provide, it is even more amazing when you experience sitting on their deck! Waking every morning to an incredible sunrise and going to bed hearing the ocean waves creates such an amazing, relaxing vacation. It is a great place to heal from the realities of everyday life. There is no beach directly in front of this property but we walked about six houses down and accessed a really cool little beach where we could walk everyday. If you go, please visit the Polynesian Cultural Center as it is so worth the price. Great food at Giovanni's Food Truck where they serve incredible shrimp. Near this food truck is Ono Yo, a high quality and very fresh yogurt shop. Don't forget to eat at Kahuku Farms which is another great choice! The owners are just great people and responded to any question in a timely manner. Michael and Stacie care about their guests! We would not hesitate to stay there again and again!!!

If you want to see a beautiful sunrise - this is the best view ever!! Wonderful little town away from it all, quiet and bus stop right out front. The sofa is very old - so I would bring a sheet to sit on. The A/C was a nice feature during the night, otherwise we didn’t need it.

Amazing property, beautiful views!
My 4 night stay was wonderful. The unit had the most amazing view and could not be any closer to the water! The house was clean and very comfortable to stay in, stocked with every essential you could think of. Decorated very nicely with beautiful artwork and felt very inviting. Loved the balcony for my morning coffee and watching the sunrise. So very close to the ocean you can feel the spray of the water. The homeowners were very lovely and made themselves available if I needed anything (which I did not). I stayed by myself and felt very safe. There is a bus stop directly in front of the house which made it very convenient to access all the North Shore had to offer. No beach swimming here but that was fine as there are many places very close either a short walk or bus ride to get to. I did not cook at all during my stay but could have seeing as the homeowners did have all cooking essentials. The value of the unit was very fair and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean traditional Hawaiian feel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you!! 🌺

In short, it was not quite what we thought.
We were not real happy with the bed. It was kind of hard and there wasn't enough pillows. We had hoped to be able to spend a little bit of time on the small beach in the back of the house that shows in the pictures, however, the beach was underwater. I don't know if it's a matter of the time of year or what, but the beach was simply not there. The window sills, particularly in the bathroom, had these little minuscule Nats crawling around them. They didn't seem to get all over the rest of the house but it was a little leery watching them crawl around in the bathroom. The house was located in an absolutely beautiful setting. We enjoyed watching sunrises every morning and it was convenient to many beaches and restaurants and activities which we were there to enjoy. All in all it was a good base camp for us. In retrospect, next time we come we may look for a little bit nicer place, although I know we may have to pay more to get that.

Just book this one...
This is such a great location and property. You can't go wrong. Love the key less entry (note...hold down right at the number so you can get in) so you don't have to coordinate anything. Just arrive and "check - in." Owners are really nice and nearby if you need anything. The view is even better than the pics demonstrate. Great to have the water toys available and your own area to enjoy.

You can't get closer to the ocean than this house. Close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, but really you won't want to leave....you'll just want to look at the water either from inside or outside. They provide kayak, snorkel stuff, chairs....Hosts are SUPER nice. We had a great stay. Wish we had booked more time.

Great location!
Seeing the sunrise over the water each morning and hearing the waves crash on the seawall was wonderful. The location is 10-20 minutes from North Shore beaches (depending on road work) and close to grocery stores and a variety of restaurants. There was a schedule mix up so we had to wait 3 hours to settle in - a bad way to start. But eventually "Hawaii" settled in and we enjoyed the stay. We managed to cook most of our meals but it is not a convenient set up. Michael and Stacey were nice and provided money for a meal out because of the check-in snafu. The unit was not as clean as we would have liked - but that may be the result of life on the water. During the only 2 hot days the AC failed (I know they are fixing the problem) but we were loaned a fan.

Great spot on the North Shore of Oahu
We loved our stay here and the owners were incredibly helpful and available for all of our questions and needs. The space was great and the views were stunning. The north shore of Oahu has a laid back vibe and the house is in a perfect location. The house is spacious for 2 people and is a bit rustic. The bed is comfortable and the amenities are adequate for simple food prep needs. There is full size refrigerator but the hot plate is a challenge and anything hot (more than toast for breakfast) is not doable. The reason that I am not giving this great spot 5 stars is that this living space is a bit tired and the towels starting to wear. If you have any difficulty with mobility the shower will be impossible for you to navigate as you need to climb over this knee high ledge to get into the shower. All in all, a great stay.. Thank you for the hospitality.

We enjoyed the house. We didn't spend a ton of team here but the view is amazing. The house itself is old but it's been well kept. The people we rented from couldn't have been nicer. They gave us a list of all kinds of things to do on the North Shore. If we visit Oahu again we will be staying here.
