My stay was not ideal due to inconsistent communication and lack of professionalism from staff. While I was out in the morning taking my daughter to school, someone entered my room without my presence. I was later told by housekeeping that maintenance entered because they smelled candles. When I reported this to the front desk, I was then told it was because it was 11:00 a.m. checkout time.
This explanation did not align with what I was previously told, especially since I requested a late checkout at approximately 9:00 a.m. and was informed that the employee on duty could not approve late checkouts and that I would need to speak with someone coming in later. Despite this, my room was entered anyway.
Nothing was missing, but the lack of clear communication, conflicting explanations, and failure to properly handle a late checkout request made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected as a guest. This situation could have been avoided with better coordination and customer service.
