„We came up for the weekend for our fanily reunion . The house is old & smells like an old house, which isn't a bad thing. The house was clean & tidy. We couldn't find the hot tub,but it was all good. We didn't spend much time at the house, except for sleeping & watching tv in the evening. Thank you for a pleasant stay.“

„We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Root River Retreat and would stay here again! Easy check-in and check-out process. The space was clean, cozy and contained everything we needed for a short stay to enjoy golf and biking. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable. Towels and bedding were soft and new. Host was a gem, providing bike storage and parking space. She answered our questions very quickly and provided delicious cookies to enjoy upon our arrival. „This property is everything that is advertised plus. Host stopped by shortly after we checked in to make sure everything was up to expectations. Gave a lot of great recommendations for things to do and everything we tried was spot on. Game room was a blast and grandkids loved the chickens and collecting eggs. Kids are already talking about making a return trip.“

„Stayed for couples golf/biking weekend. Loacated close to both Lanesboro and Harmony. We were able to bike to Lanesboro and enjoy that area one day and also checked out Harmony. No issues at the house. Would go back.“

„We visited Lanesboro for biking on the Root River State Trail, and kayaking. Our sty at Lanesboro House (there were 4 of us) could not have been better!! It was immaculately clean, very well provisioned, especially the gorgeous, gourmet kitchen!!! The setting is very quaint with a fire ring in the back for those chilly nights, a lovely dining area, and lower level indoor parking for our e-bikes!!! It was all perfect, and we’ll be back!!!“

„This location was incredibly aesthetic and peaceful. I was impressed to see baskets of snacks, water, and a few items (like bug spray) that we may have needed in case we forgot our own. The lodge itself is very spacious, clean, and was perfect for our occasion. The firepit had plenty of chairs, wood, etc. I am very pleased to have stayed at MCR and would definitely visit again. I highly recommend anyone with a larger group (8+) to consider staying here.“

„We used this house as a base for biking the Root River Trail. The pictures don't do justice to the inside of this house, it is really upscale. Everything was cleaned, well stocked and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be recommending this property to our friends. Most enjoyable time was watching the storm come in while sitting on the porch.“
